OL2: Beta Build 1.3.11 💧 (PC, Mac, Android)
Added 2024-03-11 17:57:44 +0000 UTCAll of Hide & Seek is ready to go! Since I'm going on a trip at the end of the month me and Shawna worked hard to have this ready ASAP. That's four Moments done in total.

No Information in the beta can be shared publicly.
Screenshots can't be posted, videos can't be uploaded, even discussing what occurs in the events publicly is not allowed and will get your access to future builds revoked.
You can do all of those things within the private GB Patch Discord server or leave your feedback as a comment.

And since we've had some problems in the past with so many people downloading beta builds that they get locked out by Google Drive, I've uploaded mirror builds! If the first ones listed don't work, you can try these.

Or you can bypass the quota by logging in to a Google Drive account, then on the file's download page, click "Add shortcut to Drive" in the upper right corner. Save it to your Drive, then create a new folder, put it inside, and download the folder!
Save files from the prior beta should work in this beta!

As a few others have noted, Tamarack disappears toward the end: for me, when her bookmark banner shows up during Opal's hide and seek story, it's empty. And Tamarack doesn't come back after that. I guess *she's* the best at hide and seek after all. :-D

2024-03-13 03:06:41 +0000 UTCTo think that it's already 4 step it's incredible, really have to congratulate the fast development to be fair, given the fact that most likely the game is like OL1 it will most likely have 4 free steps and 4 paid steps, so technically this should be the end of the childhood step (I might be wrong, I don't remember if it was already explained or not) it's genuinely impressing how far it came already, you all deserve the break! I'll be sure to replay all four parts in the meantime to see it all at once and try all the different choices, I can't wait for that.

2024-03-12 17:26:28 +0000 UTCthere’s a couple bugs at the end of the Hide & Seek moment where Tamarack’s sprite isnt in the bookmark banner and she’s also gone from the screen,, but i can see her eyebrows at the corner of the screen 😭 other than that,, this is my favourite moment so far and i love seeing how the game is coming along!!

2024-03-12 15:33:37 +0000 UTCOn Windows the save folder is stored in your computer so you keep them between versions. On Android so long as you do not uninstall the game you will keep your saves. Just run the new apk and it'll perform an update.

I'd like to point out though in the last scene, after speaking about friendship, the answer option arrow has this weird glitch that when you want to choose an answer it flashes to another one. At least, you can still give the answer you want but I wanted to point it out just in case. Someone else already said it, but Tamarack's sprite doesn't appear in the last scene either. Anyway, so far I enjoyed this beta!!

2024-03-12 03:35:07 +0000 UTCThis was such an amazing moment! I think definitely the moments featuring XOXO characters are always among my favorites in both OL games, which is pretty funny! I have to say that this was especially entertaining with a silent MC who just let Qiu and Tamarack tell the adults everything that happened while sipping on his soup without a care. This moment was also interesting to me because it allowed me to refine some aspects about my MC. While he's reserved and more of a follower in Step 1, he still dislikes when people disregard him and can take drastic measures if that happens. I'm thinking about the fact if MC tries to convince Qiu and Tamarack to compromise and they STILL fight after that, we get that option to run away. And I loved it SO MUCH! Not something I expected my Step 1 MC to do, but it felt so natural on the spot, and I adore the outcome of that choice too! Eh, at least it stopped the fighting!

The game's code may say differently but they are absolutely my MCs best friends lol She would definitely be their friend for life after the kindness they showed her, just by reaching out to her and being themselves.

Wonderful job on everything from the rain to the emotion in the dialogue, it was so heart wrenching and helped me see how there could be a divide between Tam & Qiu later on. I would like to note that from the point of "our" mother telling us the story of Pran and all three kids say "WHAT?" Tamarack's image is gone from the game. Her dialogue still happens but I can't see her.

I have 2 saves ive been using to see the different outcomes, and while trying to access the one that was in the middle of the hide and seek step, i got an error message. Ran it on the other from the beginning and wroked fine, just some problems when i tried to access it from the middle of the moment
