[Progress Dump] December & 2021~!!!

Hey y’all,

HAPPY NEW YEAR! We hope everyone had a wonderful New Year celebration~! YAY~!!!

Ahem...

Last month, Buka Chan continued to work on The Librarian Girl Jasmine, working on ways to improve the consistency in their art and make Jasmine’s design look more like the original one.

Zuri Sama also spent the month polishing The Librarian Girl Jasmine, fixing problems, and adding bits that were missing like the Credits!

Unknown Sen has kept up with the Memento bugs and has made small improvements to help with workflow.

The team also continued to talk a lot about what our plans are for the new year. Talking about what we’ve learned, what we’re trying to do, what we can do to make it better, and where it’s all going.

And taking the pressure off from Patreon last month helped in making it all manageable against all the extra family and friend activities that popped up around Christmas and New Year, making it the first lower stress December we’ve ever had. XD

• New Audio Library - To handle all the sound effects and little noises we make.
• Many more bugs squished!

What’s Next this year?

For the last few years, we’ve been organizing our ideas in the hopes of making something bigger. Setting our sights on Memento Mamori as the catalyst for improving and refining our development process.

We honestly didn’t think it would take that long, but streamlining 3 years of code and leveling up our art and design skills has been challenging on a tight budget. Doing everything we can to save time, learn what needed to be learned, and improve ourselves.

Ultimately, we didn’t get to develop all the features needed to make the game we wanted to make.

There were also some extremely difficult moments. Some of which have been difficult to come to terms with, and others that almost made it impossible to keep Zuripai Games running.

BUT! We persevered.

And through everything we have learned and the experiences we’ve gained, we’ve paved the way for something we feel that everyone will love and that we can do.

So this year we’re taking steps towards what will be our next major project. We’re not going to say what it is, but we’re hoping to show off more about it each month as part of the Paizuri Girls pin-up.

You can expect more about it in the coming weeks and months.

What’s Next this month?

This month we’ll be releasing the first part of The Librarian Girl Jasmine on January 15th, starting with Enthusiast ($10+) patrons.

Buka Chan will also be working on the first New Year Paizuri Impact this week. To help kick off the year with a good dose of Paizuri right in everyone’s impact zones.

They’ll also be working on final art touch-ups for the first release of The Librarian Girl Jasmine.

Zuri Sama will continue polishing up The Librarian Girl Jasmine, and Unknown Sen will be continuing their work catching bugs in the Memento Engine in preparation for its release. They’ll both also be dabbling in the role-playing vertical slice where time permits.

We’ll also be running a poll in the second week for a Paizuri Girl Pin-up featuring Kareen, where you’ll get to vote on a lewd and naughty situation for her to be in. The pin-up for that poll will be released at the end of the month.

And lastly, we’re going to run a special survey so that Patrons can be added to the Credits of The Librarian Girl Jasmine. Expect a post about that this week!

And That’s It!

It’s been a difficult year filled with many challenges and obstacles. But through all that, we’re still here because we like what we’re doing.

After spending so much time working with the Paizuri Girls, it’s hard to not see them come to life in the work we’re doing. And it breaks our heart every time something gets in the way of that.

So this year, we’re going to continue working hard to put a stop to that!
