[News] Important!

Hi y’all,

We don’t often talk about our lives, mainly because we don’t really want Zuripai Games and what we do to be defined by it. But we also don’t want to leave Patrons in the dark about what’s been going on.

The last few months have been extremely rough for us. We try our best to not let life affect us too much, but lately, the stress and problems have been getting out of control. And with it looking like it’s not going to change anytime soon, it was only a matter of time before something happened.

And this week, it did. Buka Chan was hospitalised. I’m not giving details, but it is related to overworking themselves and dealing with some fairly stressful situations in their life.

The good news is, is that they’re ok. 

We’ve talked about it at length, and to cut a long explanation short, we need a break. 

So at the end of this month, after the next release, we’ll be going on hiatus to have a break. A real one! For how long, we’re not sure, but hopefully enough to give us time to sort ourselves out a little.

It’s been difficult to decide, especially since we want to finish Paizuri University and move onto our next cool things. But we feel that having a break is the right thing to do right now. We hope y’all understand, and that it’s a decision that we’re not taking lightly.

Your support has gotten us through some tough times. Just knowing that there are people who enjoy what we’re creating has always encouraged us to do more, and try to figure out ways to make it possible.

We could not have gotten this far without you, which is why it’s been so difficult. We really don’t want to let y’all down. But if we’re not all in it, and continued the way we have been, we’d eventually be letting y’all down. And we can’t do that after everything you’ve done for us.

We love what we’re doing with Zuripai Games. It has changed the way we think, making us look differently at the world that is filled with weird ideals and double standards about things some people on this planet know nothing about. It has also encouraged us to be more honest in our lives, even when it has been painful. And it’s something I don’t think we can give up so easily.

So… when we come back. We’re going to finish Paizuri University. And it’ll be awesome… probably. ; )

We’ll also be doing our regular progress dump at the start of next month, along with a few other important things, just to close things out before we go on full break mode.
