[Progress Dump] April~!

This month was awesome! 

The latest change to scheduling our releases has been very helpful (see post). Taking away some of the crunchy problems to help us still get everything we wanted to get done in! So yay for schedule optimizations!

So what did we get up to last month!?

Since we’re only doing one release a month now. The list below is mostly just the change log with some slight changes to it. Anything brand new and not available in the latest build will be marked with (NEW) for convenience : )

• A whole heap of neatening up and polishing bits and pieces.
• (NEW) A few little bug fixes.

Engine

• Your last quick save will now be underlined in the Save / Load menu.
• Hovering over Quick / Auto Save now displays the save info in the Save / Load menu.
• Invalid Save files will no longer attempt to load.
• New Text Symbols added to be used in dialogue~!
• Dialogue will ignore wait timers while skipping for faster skipping.
• Runtime Game Memory debugging and editing.
• Improvements to Z-Script Analyzer. Helps find more bugs in Z-Script.
• (NEW) Improvements to Z-Script Viewer and Innuendo Filter creation.
• FIXED - Disabled HW Statistics gathering. We only found out recently that this feature was on, and it was triggering firewalls for some people. It should no longer happen~!! >_<
• BUG FIX - Fixed issue with scrolling images of particular dimensions not scrolling correctly.
• BUG FIX - Fixed issue with scrolling screens sometimes preventing you from clicking in the next scene.
• (NEW) General editor side improvements.
• Lots of little bugs fixed!

What’s Next?

The next public release is on it’s way! And will include the first 3rd of Chapter 3, and some of the explorable areas previously only available to Patrons. Exciting~!

The last scenes for Chapter 3 are also, almost finished! Which will bring Chapter 3 to an end, meaning Chapter 4 will be in full swing this month! Yay!

So Chapter 4 will get a heap of story, and the rough art pass for it’s scenes. We’re not exactly sure how much of Chapter 4 will go in, but we’re hoping to get most of it in by the next Patron release. 

The Innuendo Filters are getting a little update too. With the recent big dialogue improvements, some previously working innuendos aren’t quite working anymore. So they need a little work to make them fit again!

And that’s it!

That’s the plan for this month! It’s going to be a crazy one!
