[News] Pledge & Reward Changes

Hello everyone,

Today we're announcing some changes we will be making in the next few days to public releases, Patron rewards and becoming a new patron.

We're aiming to release more content to the public so people can see more about what we're doing, as well as bring more value to existing reward tiers. 

Some of these changes are also to address a number of issues we've been encountering these past few months with some Patreon users. 

Read below for the upcoming changes and how this might effect you as a Patron for Zuripai Games.

Reward Changes

Here is the list of changes we will be making to releases and existing Patron reward tiers.

Public

Rough early sketches, story excerpts and some concept art will now be posted publicly. All nude versions of art (final or in progress) will be available to paying patrons only.

Teaspoon ($1)

Teaspoon patrons will now get access to the latest minor version of a public release. If the current public version is 0.1.0, they will receive version 0.2.0. If no public version is available, they get 0.1.0. 

These releases are planned to occur at least once a month or more depending on how much support we have.

They will not include any of the bonus features available to higher level patrons, such as the Gallery and Bonus Side Stories.

Tablespoon ($3)

Tablespoon will now get access to the latest development build instead of just minor builds. These builds will still include the patron only features, such as the Gallery and Bonus Side Stories.

Shot Glass ($5)

Shot Glass patrons  will continue to get early access to the latest version. Now 3 days earlier then Tablespoon.

Cup ($10) 

Cup patrons will continue to get early access to the latest version. 7 days earlier then Tablespoon.

Jug ($11)

Jug patrons will continue to receive the same as Cup patrons, just with in-game credits. 

Coming Eventually

We are currently working on some ideas to give patrons more at existing reward tiers as well as a few new higher level tiers which we'll be announcing once they are fully worked out.

Pledge Changes 

We are changing the pledge method to be Charge Up Front. 

Read this article to find out more. 

We recommend that all new patrons pledge in the first 3 weeks of the month. As you will be charged up front when becoming a Patron. Once you become a Patron, you'll will then be charged on the first of each month as normal.

This won't effect current patrons, unless you are changing your pledge amount to a higher tier.  If you change your pledge amount to a higher tier you will be charged the difference immediately. Please keep this in mind when adjusting your pledge.

These changes are being made because we figure that if you really want what we're creating, and are already willing to support us. Then it will be no different. 

Just keep in mind the time you are pledging and reward you would like to receive, if you do not wish to be charged multiple times close together. 

So remember! Pledge in the first 3 weeks of a month and choose your reward tier carefully.

We are also making this change, due to a drastic drop in our patron numbers thanks to fraudulent accounts. We have also experienced a lot of people jumping between rewards to get access to content and then flat out leaving before they've even followed through with their pledge (which is really not cool).

With that in mind we've decided to make all these changes to hopefully help address these issues.

We would also like to make our feelings clear on the practise of pledge dodging.

Not only has this practise been demotivating for us, it is also highly disrespectful to our patrons who are actively supporting us. 

Bukacain and I have been working late hours and on weekends, between our everyday jobs to help us keep our lights on and bills paid to create Paizuri University. A game that will always be free at public release. 

We do it because we want people to laugh. And we do it because we enjoy doing it.

If you want to be selfish, take our (or other creators) content without pledging, disrespect us AND the patrons who are making what we do possible! We cordially ask you to go kill the fun somewhere else and shoot yourself out of a cannon into a solid wall. You are not welcome here.

But if you want to see more of what we're doing, want us to get this done quicker or just enjoy what we're creating. Then please support us and pledge.

To all those who have been supporting us these past few months, we thank you for making Paizuri University feel welcome in the hentai game scene and for keeping us motivated. Without your support we may have already given up, which is something we do not wish to do.
