[Progress Dump] May

Paizuri University Chapter 1 is almost complete, with only a few more things to do, it's final release is just around the corner!

It hasn't been all smooth sailing this month. With Zuripai Sama getting sick for a few weeks, some things had to be pushed back in our schedule.

What did we get up to this month?

• Animated "Watermelon" scene.
• Animated "Kareen Paizuri" scene.
• New "Kareen Helps" sexy scene.
• Finalized  "The Dean's Office" background art
• Finalized  "Food Styling" background art
• New background art "Improv Class" (WIP)
• New Character in Chapter 1, Summer (design, concept art)
• New "Summer Upskirt" sexy scene (WIP)
• Chapter 1 received its first public release. 0.2.0a (GameJolt , itch.io , Newgrounds )
• Minor Release -  0.3.0 
• Patch Releases - 0.2.8, 0.3.2, 0.3.5
• Patron's recently voted for "Kareen in an RPG Fantasy" setting art (poll, results). (WIP)
• Patron's recently voted for a "Fruits & Vegetables" word filter to be added to Chapter 1. (WIP)
• Chapter 2 is in development, with the story planned out and currently being written into the game.

Zurizuri Engine

The Zurizuri Engine also went through some major changes for Chapter 2.

• New First Person System (WIP) 
• New Save Game feature (WIP)
• ZScript Upgrade - Variables, Arithmetic and Expression
• ZScript Upgrade - Macro Support for better scripting.
• Improved Build Pipeline. Now takes even less time.
• A heap of little bug fixes.
• Updated to Unity 5.6.1 

Plans for June

For this month, we've decided to turn down our ambitions a little and make some compromises in order to keep the releases coming out regularly. 

Since we are now in Winter and getting sick a distinct possibility we're not looking forward to, it might be wiser to not overdo it and risk delays.

So this month, we are focusing on creating Chapter 2 as a visual novel, without the planned first person gameplay. That way everyone can see the story progress and all the naughty scenes as we work through them.

Zuripai Sama will be continuing to work on the first person feature. And once it's ready to go, it will be added to a build.

We will also update the reward tiers before the first Chapter 2 release. There will be more on this in an upcoming post.

So to summarise. What can you expect this month?

• Chapter 1 will be 100% finished.
• Patron releases of Chapter 1 version, 0.4.0 and 1.0.0.
• Public releases of Chapter 1 versions, 0.3.0, 1.0.0.
• The first chapter 2 patch release (hopefully more then one)
• Patron Reward Changes
• More concept art posts.
