[Progress Dump] December & 2020~!!!

Hey y’all,

HAPPY NEW YEAR~!!!

We hope y’all had a wonderful new year, filled with as many festivities as you could have.

Another year is over, and it sure was a blurry mess of “wtf I don’t even know”. It felt really like a smudge year, don’t you think? Let us know below xD

Despite the smudge year, and even a super chaotic December, we managed to keep productive.

But what did we get up to for most of last year?

Summary of 2020

Last year we managed to release 3 full short stories in the Paizuri Girls Cumpilation.

After a rough start to the year, we took a big break in the middle to help us recalibrate. Taking time to step back from the short stories and reflect on what we’ve done, and figure out what we want to do at Zuripai Games.

It has been a difficult year to stay focused, with too many personal and global events occurring throughout the year that have been horrible. And finding a balance between life and what we enjoy has been stressful.

But we’ve persevered! Continuing to work, on our lewd projects, on ourselves, and everything we have to do to make it possible.

And we’ve made a huge amount of progress despite all the things.

The Memento Engine has made a good amount of progress. We’ve had a few surprise technical hurdles to overcome, but it has been slowly settling into its own after many rewrites and wrangling the code that made up the original Zurizuri Engine. Our hopes have been to support larger and more complex projects, and it looks like it's getting us closer each month.

We have also been writing stories and developing our characters, to expand and add more depth to the Paizuri world in preparation for things to come. It has been a lot of research and learning as we piece it all together to create what we hope will be memorable and lewd.

It has taken us longer than we thought, but we’re happy with how it’s going, and our hope for this year is to show more of everything that is going on~!

So...

What’s Next?

This year we’re putting a lot of what we’ve been working on to use!

The first release for this year will be The Librarian Girl, Jasmine. Which will be making full use of the Memento engine and putting it through its paces.

If it goes well, it’ll be a huge step in the way we work on our games. So keep your fingers crossed that it goes well!

We’ll also take some time to do a little Patreon page clean up this month to make it a little clearer about what we’re doing.

There also needs to be a few changes to the Patreon reward tiers too, as we have to make some adjustments to fit some uncontrollable changes in work-life (thanks to COVID changes). So we’ll have to make some adjustments to balance the time we have, so we can make sure we can deliver the lewds to Patrons, and still do everything we’re aiming to do.

Buka Chan will be doing a couple of lewd drawings this month, which you can currently vote on if you’re a patron (view the post). And taking the time to catch up on a few things because of an excessively crazy December. They’ll also be working on The Librarian Girl.

Zuri Sama and Unknown will be working on Memento and The Librarian Girl. Massaging the code and probably putting out fires.
