[Development] Memento Progress #4~!!

Hey y’all,

We made even more progress on Memento this month. Moving over a few more features from Zurizuri and giving them a massive update, as well as adding new things to make our lives easier as we approach bigger projects.

This one is going to be a nerdy one. But if for whatever reason, data and project management turns you on, this one's for you. 

Project Streamlining

Unknown Sen has been figuring out how to streamline code workflow and starting new projects. For every new project we work on, we would have to make a full copy of the previous one. 

But now, we can open a new project. Add only the things we need, hit setup, then BOOM. We’re ready to go. 

And the great thing is, we can maintain all of our code in one location, and update any project using that code immediately. So if we find a bug in one project, we can fix it for all of them! It’s super great!

HUB

With the latest project changes, we made a new and smarter HUB for us to use.

All the important features are now accessible through the HUB, making it easier to manage and fiddle with things. No more digging through folders or forgetting where important things are... v_v”

Support for Game Settings

Game Settings are a bitch, especially when you have a lot of different features. Now it’s a little bit easier to manage. Letting us add as many as we want without having some big ass wall of code to manage it all. It’s a good thing. : )

Background Transition Effects

We’ve reworked our background transition system, making it easier to create and add new ones. 

And because of the way our new stuff works, we’re hoping to use the same technique on characters too! So we get two uses for the price of one transition!

Text Effects

We also reworked our Text Effect system, making that easier to create new ones too! 

There are still a few things we want to be able to do, like combine wavey text with colored effects, but for now, this should let us do a little more to add more character and feeling to character dialogue.

We’ll be putting all these changes to the test over the coming months, as we add and move over a few more pieces from Zurizuri, and polish polish polish! 

It’s super exciting! And we can’t wait to finally start making things with Memento. EEEE!!!
