DSS Improvement #2


First, let me talk about the overall development of DSS. DSS is more of a challenge than a formal development. The time for my study and trial and error for implementation is longer than the time for actual development. Therefore, the speed of feature implementation is unclear. That's why I kept postponing the completion date of DSS.

During this period, I changed the Unity version and made major internal improvements to recreate the features very precisely. Thankfully, all of this was possible thanks to the previous beta development and your many feedbacks and support.

Anyway, I will release the DSS demo through Itch.io in November! Here's what I'll show in the demo version:


Import custom characters: You can import and use any .vrm format character file you want! You can save the character's abilities and collision size settings for each saved character name.


Some of the story content: Consultations and special simulation content are prepared for each character appearing in DSS. The initial consultation content is released to help you understand the characters and immerse yourself in them.


Changed simulation method: Now, characters and devices are completely separate objects. You can place the device first and summon the character to interact with the device. In order to minimize errors, the freedom of simulation in special situations has been reduced, but you will be able to experience more realistic situations. (For example, in the hand strangulation simulation, you can no longer fly your hands freely. Also, you can no longer use other types of devices in the underwater simulation space.)

In addition, depending on the character's resistance ability, you will be able to see how they try to escape from the situation they are in. It would be very difficult to escape from a well-tied knot in a hanging situation, but if it is not a proper knot but a roughly tied piece of cloth, the possibility of escape is higher. Can you imagine the character untiing the handcuffs underwater and escaping on their own? Please look forward to it!


Object creation and management: You can now freely create decorative objects. You can also freely decorate the map by deleting any of the created objects or deleting them in the order they were most recently created.


Character AI and Status: I put a lot of effort into this part. In order to make the character feel alive, many variables have been added from the inside to the outside of the character. This part is very long to explain, so please look forward to the demo! (For example, the character can now walk. It changes a lot depending on consciousness, pain, and the situation. It is affected by the heartbeat when bleeding. etc.)


More Various Simulations: I am currently working on adding simulations that proceed with the body. You will be able to experience various experiences by interacting with various poses, various tools, etc.


More Various Equipment: When it comes to equipment, there are ropes, handcuffs, restraints, etc. You can freely apply these to compatible parts, and you can modify the position, size, angle, etc. applied to each character.


Character Animation and Physics: After a lot of trial and error, I found a good way to maintain realistic physics while making the character assume the intended pose. Also, a large animation database for the character's movements depending on the situation is being created. You will be able to experience much more diverse movements and reactions than before. (Unity Physics, Cascadeur)


That's roughly it! I don't know if I conveyed it well to you. Time seems to pass very quickly. I feel anxious every time time passes because I'm afraid that you'll be disappointed if the development is too late. But I'm making it step by step, so please wait patiently.

In fact, I have many worries other than development. For some reason, I may not be able to sell the game even after I finish it. However, if that happens, I will finish it even if it means distributing DSS for free. Because I will continue to make many different games under the name of heazhan!

また、キャラクターの抵抗心能力値に応じた状況から抜け出すために努力する姿を見せてくれます。絞首刑の状況で結ばれた結び目から脱出するのは非常に大変ですが、きちんとした結び目ではなく、布のようなものを大まかに結んだ状況であれば、脱出の可能性が高くなります。あなたはキャラクターが自分で手元から手錠を解いて脱出する姿を想像できますか?どうぞお楽しみに!


オブジェクトの作成と管理:装飾用のオブジェクトを自由に作成できるようになりました。また、作成したオブジェクトの中から好きなものを削除したり、最近作成した順序で削除したりするなど、ユーザーは地図を自由に飾ることができます。


キャラクターのAIとステータス:私はこの部分で非常に努力をしました。キャラクターが鮮やかに生きているという感じを与えるために、キャラクター内部から外部まで非常に多くの変数を追加しました。この部分は説明がとても長いので、デモを楽しみにしてください! (少しの例では、今キャラクターは歩き回ることができます。意識、苦痛、状況に応じて非常に多くの変化を示します。出血時の心拍数の影響を受けます。など)

実は開発以外の心配もたくさんあります。苗の理由で、私がゲームを完成しても売れなくなる可能性があります。ただし、そうなると、DSSを無料で配布する限りがあっても完成します。これからもheazhanという名前でたくさんの様々なゲームを作っていくからです!

This is pretty interesting, I look forward to the demo! One question though, is it possible for you to add PayPal as a support method? I don't live in Japan so I can't use cards I have cause they're not compatible, but PayPal can make what I have compatible so I can support more directly!

thank you for your hardwork im pretty sure no one would be disappointed if it takes too much time because if it takes time that mean DSS is gonna be just much better! i also have a doubt will the full version be free or paid? or will be there a paid version and free version? because in the beta there is VIP,so i had some doubts and im pretty sure there are people who cant afford or are not able to spend money in experiences and games.thats all thank you considering our feedbacks and we are hoping to see the release soon!

I won't be disappointed! I am looking forward to it, let me tell you every time a new DSS version is released it's always worth waiting for because they bring a lot to the game, sometimes something is removed and you're disappointed but you are never dissatisfied. This update seems huge and DSS will be more complex and perhaps more difficult to navigate and understand with all the new characters collision settings, face expressions, and, custom restrains, but this is huge for DSS. This can bring huge customer satisfaction! The informational video on how to use DSS will also help the development as it can help navigate confusion much easier. Try to work at your own pace and bugs can ALWAYS be fixed afterwards if you release it earlier

im really waiting for DSS demo and also for the full version to be released!,i just have some feedback,one of the main things about DSS is that its very simple to use,after reading the article ,it sounds like that the controls are going to be more complicated,and about the hunt mode in latest download release,im using laptop,and when i was in the hunt mode ,it was lagging so hardy,so my doubt is that will the change in simulations cause the game to lag?thats it and again waiting for official full version,thank you if u red this far!!

I have confidence you'll be able to sell the game, at least on Steam. There are... so many hentai games on Steam... Like, hundreds at a minimum. Yes I know DSS is not hentai, but it is adult content and hell, if Mad Island can exist on there, So can DSS. If you're unfamiliar with that game, it has guro/ryona/hentai and doesn't shy away from it at all, even on the store page promo material. Looking forward to the future. I still visit the current beta now and again wondering when the updates will come. No worries though. Take all the time you need to make a game you're proud of, be it DSS or another Heazhan project.

Thank you for the update heazhan, we can understand the difficulties of developing a game and can wait patiently for whenever you feel like the game is in a good state to release. The fact that you mentioned that you might not be able to sell it is concerning however. Is it because of a lack of suitable storefronts or some other issue? Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate the generosity of giving it away for free if all else fails, but I would still like to support you by buying the full release. Other than that, the new features and improvements seem very interesting, and i'm excited to see them in action. Do you plan on posting any other blog updates until november? maybe a video of how the new features work and look like? wish you all the best.
