Early Look: Mermaid Sketches πΌ + what Iβm up to this week! β¨

Last night I stayed up really late sketching because I felt inspired to practice drawing some mermaid poses ππ and I decided to screen-record the full coloring & rendering process for a real-time process video for you guys! π₯³β¨Youβll get to see how I play with the color palettes, build up the values & colors, and add my finishing touches π Since itβs screen-recorded youβll get to see my full screen while I work which includes all my layers, brushes, and more to help you understand the process better! β¨Weβll start editing the video this week and hopefully post it this week too π₯° stay tuned! π
In other news, this week Iβm also going to start working on a step-by-step tutorial about upper body anatomy with a mermaid theme! β¨Iβm gonna keep most of the details a surprise but Iβm excited to get started βΊοΈπ
The other thing on my to-do list this week is to start filming this monthβs studio vlog! π I like to take you guys with me on a fun little adventure in each vlog and this month Iβm thinking of going to the science museum to draw studies of plants and fish π I wanted to go there last month, but the museum was sooo crowded so we decided to go to the art museum instead and draw thereπ fingers crossed it wonβt be as crowded this time and Iβll get to draw some fish! β¨
Anywho, itβs a very busy to-do list this week!! Iβll keep you guys updated π I hope you all have a beautiful day and a fresh start to the week! β¨

I have boards dedicated to face references, full body, clothes, etc. π₯° As for making sketches that flow and arenβt stiff, I want to make a tutorial about it soon! π But I think the brush you use to sketch has a big impact, and I prefer the Edge Control brush by Jingsketch :) you can get it in his free brush pack set on Gumroad! Itβs nice because the brush doesnβt create any harsh lines and keeps everything loose and airy in the beginning β¨
