Added 2025-03-29 08:26:52 +0000 UTCIn case you were wondering, I don't consider everything outside of the center of Hell to be empty. It's just that I wanted to keep the readers' focus on the middle. There's certainly some Demons who were left behind to watch over Medians and such.
The gray blobs that are most abundant around the water are dead (or at least, dead-looking) trees.
The orange blobs are meant to be entrances to caves, as well as windows and other openings. Like the newly revamped Demon info page mentions, Demons aren't known for their architecture. They usually live inside caves or other simple dwellings.

To be more precise, Hell is an island surrounded by the Styx (the green stuff in the horizon). The part in the center where the Demons and Syndel are gathered is just a small part of Hell. But there is a lot of lava.
