Chapter 84: Class B Pulls Ahead

The Hero course first best dorm room contest continues, with class B displaying some surprising choice and decor for their rooms.

Leaving Midoriya's…unique room, the 2 classes decided that instead of picking up at the next boy's room, they might as well start with the girls' rooms while they were on the second floor, save them the trouble of walking back and forth. They marked down Midoriya's room as a win for class B, bumping their score to 4 to 1.

Thus, when they realized the first girl's room on the second floor's other wing was Uraraka's, she had a lot riding on her to get things evened out. For her, this made it particularly embarrassing to open her door.

"Sorry about that; not every interesting thing." Uraraka rubbed her head as she presented her space, which was…in a word, affordable. It wasn't like Ojiro's, which seemed bland, but instead it just had bare accessories as she had a wall rack for some of her things, a small TV to the side, and a table fan, with everything else being average, and unless Tokage was seeing this, worn but also well cared for.

“Dang it!” Ashido grumbled.

"Does this mean we're going to win?" Komori asked Yanagi, the white-haired girl, nodding as Monoma couldn't help but gloat.

“Of course it does, and if the dorms followed the same formula as the boys, then next up would be a member of the superior class!” The copy quirk user asserted as they walked door to door and found that their class rep was next on the list.

Like Iida, she didn't seem bothered by them showing off her room. But also like Iida, she seemed a little too eager to show it off, having got a bite from the competition bug. Those in class A, the ones more invested in this, hoped that just like Iida's room, it was bland and average, nothing special, and wouldn't add to class B’s lead.

They would be disappointed.

“What the heck?” Kamakiri called out as they looked out into the room. Like Midoriya's room, she had covered the walls in a fresh layer of wallpaper — in this case, a light grey — and there were yellow-and-white markings on the three visible walls, almost like a road. On the wall opposite the bed was an image board filled with pictures from Kendo's life: birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, vacations, reward ceremonies, and graduations. The board was shaped like a wheel; its edges were even finished with a layer of rubber.

Beneath that sat her desk and drawer, both made from lighter wood with blue and yellow linings and racing insignia. Next to the picture board was a small shelf: one level held her textbooks, study guides, additional material, and notebooks; the other held manga, fiction, and other light-hearted possessions.

In the corner, she'd set up a multi-tiered shelf that hosted figurines — motorcycles and their riders, old toy cars and bikes. On the opposite wall, Kendo hadn't pushed the bed all the way against it; instead, she left space for an open display where she hung a leather riding jacket, a shelf for several motorcycle helmets in different colours, and beneath that, on a slightly elevated drawer, a life-sized motorcycle.

Finishing the room was the bed: it had navy blue and black sheets and was built into a frame that heavily resembled a Harley-division motorcycle — the headrest sat where the back of the super-wide bike would be, the foot end aligned with the front of the bike, and the end of the bed was shaped like the leading wheel and handlebars. They even noticed the lights at the front of the "bike" seemed to work. Lastly, she had a carpet patterned like a fresh tire, a table with seats, and a few magazines.

“How did you even get a bed like that?!” Mineta yelled, as this just felt like cheating!

“I made it, well-my father and aunt helped.” Kendo shrugged as they looked through the space, though none opened the drawers or closet. She watched Mineta in case he decided to buck the trend.

"Is that an actual bike? I didn't know you could ride it," Tokage noted, but Kendo shook her head.

"It's a replica of my aunt's favourite one, she wrecked the real one when I was 6, but since she promised I'll get to sit on it when I was older, she went and made this," Kendo explained. Still, when asked if she had one, she confirmed as much and even showed them a picture on her board. “I do have a real bike, a sports bike, but since the dorms don't have a garage, it's kept close to where the teachers would park."

The sight of Kendo, dressed in a biker's jacket, helmet held under her sleeve as she leaned against a gorgeous black and red bike, had some close to tears from how cool it was. “Please, please let me ride it.” Sero begged her.

“Do you even know how?" She countered, as she had just gotten that thing as a present from the family. She wasn't about to let someone wreck it.

Line Break

“Strange, we’re not starting with someone from class A?” Iida noted that they reached the 3rd floor again, where the first room they spotted had Kodai's name out front.

“Seems like it.” Tsunotori didn't read too hard into it; instead, she smiled at the typically quiet call. "Ready to make our score 6 to 1? " she asked.

“Hmm.” Kodai sounded as she gently opened her door to reveal her room. She hadn't changed the wall colour or put up wallpaper, but instead, she had gotten large prints of Ultraman through the years, some from movies and series, animated and live-action.

On her drawer, she had 2 Ultraman flags hanging off the edges, while her desk was themed after the colours of the original from long before quirks were even a thing. Her bed was a bunk bed, with the bottom bunk having drawers built into the frame.

“Damn, and I thought Midoriya was a super fan.” Honenuki mused as he looked around the space.

“How much did all of this merch cost?” Shouda asked, as some of this stuff looked incredibly rare. He wasn't a fan of the IP, but he was pretty sure some of it wasn't even made anymore, so where would she have bought it?

“Why do you have a bunk bed? I thought you said you were an only child.” Komori asked.

“I like moving between them, also…” Kodai moved to the bed, climbed onto the top bunk, and clapped her hands. The lights turned off. With a second clap, the Ultraman poster she had placed on the ceiling lit up, acting like a second light.

"Of course," Kaibara noted, but it wasn't a bad room; thus, it was another point for class B.

"I'm more surprised it can fit in the room; they weren't designed for bunks in mind," Yaoyorozu noted, as the lower bunk had to be altered to account for that. Still, she imagined it wouldn't be pleasant if one woke up, suddenly rose, and struck their head.

Line Break

As they walked towards the other girl's room on the floor, they already knew who it would be. Ashido and Hagakure were hanging off their classmate, crocodile tears in their eyes. "Jiro, you're our only hope. We're getting creamed here!"

“Ha, like she’ll be able to save you.” No matter the situation, Monoma laughed, which didn't fly with Class A.

“Can it, she’s gonna blow you all away, I just know it!” Kaminari defended his classmate and friend.

"I bet you thought the same thing about Kaminari and Uraraka, didn't you?" Kamakiri crackled, he and Monoma sharing a quirk high-five as the two named students deflated. Ojiro was just happy he wasn't named.

"First of all, Uraraka's rom wasn't bad. Second of all, I have a hell of a lot better décor sense than Jamming Yay." Jiro pointed out that as they reached her door, her name was clearly written out front.

“Hey, that’s uncalled for!” Kaminari complained as Jiro opened her door. She would rather 39 people didn't see her private space, but she hadn't stopped the girls from suggesting this, and right now, class A needed some points to take first place.

Jiro was the first in class A to show off how much freedom they had in decorating the place. Like with some other rooms in class B they've seen, she had gone and covered the walls in fresh wallpaper, a very light purple colour. She had covered the floor with a checkered black and white carpet that seemed to cover the entire space, with a checkered red and black ceiling covering matching it.

Her curtains were a dark shade and matched the red of her red and checkered black bedsheets. On the wall right next to her bed was a wall-to-wall poster which read 'deep dope', it wasn't attached to the wall. Instead, it was hanging off a roll-out wall mount, the same checkered pattern as the carpet, and matching the covering of the curtain's guide rails. But what stuck out the most was the several instruments she had managed to fit in, as they spotted a couple of electric guitars, a bass guitar, a keyboard, a full drum set, microphone stands, and two large speakers in the corners of the space.

“Wow, mama.” Fukidashi whistled at the sight.

“You got enough instruments for an entire band, Jiro.” Kaminari smiled as he looked around, Jiro looking a little bashful about them being here.

"What the-how does she have good taste?" Not even Monoma could trash-talk the space, so Jiro could enjoy knowing she had dumfounded him.

"It's because she's totally punk rock, Neito boy, suck it!" Hagakure explained, blowing a raspberry toward whom they assumed to be Monoma. It was hard to tell when one was invisible, and the group was so bunched up.

“Pardon, but how many of these instruments can you play?” Shishida asked, as he had always wished to learn but never found the time.

"Yeah, at least a little. I'm best with the base, though." Jiro pointed to the base in question, aside from the guitars.

"Still, not very girly," Kaminari added, though he hadn't expected much from Jiro. She seemed like the type that outgrew the flowers and teddy bear stuff when she was 5.

"Neither was Kendo, and that room was sick as hell. Good job, Jiro, you just got us another point!" Sero gave Jiro a thumbs-up right before she could whack Kaminari for his thoughtless words.

"Is that really necessary?" Monoma complained.

“It’s a nice-looking room, Monoma," Midoriya spoke up, his suit making it hard to ignore him, even when he was largely silent. “We shouldn’t discount that just because it’s not from our class, else you’ll invalidate the entire event.”

Shiozaki nodded, giving Monoma a closer look. "It would also be dishonest; we'll have to punish you."

Line Break

“Well, we’re back on the fourth floor, so should we go side to side or what?” Jiro asked. Kamanari, still moping, hit him with one of her earphone jacks for his comments.

"It would be more time effective if we stick with the boys and then move onto the girls' side." Iida proposed, which seemed to have broad support.

"As long as I get to sleep faster," Bakugo grumbled, leading to Tokage teasing him.

"Oh, I didn't know the bomber needed his 8 hours. Don't worry; you'll get plenty of time, " she joked, getting some laughs from her classmates as Bakugo turned to her, pissed.

“Screw you!” He cursed out Tokage’s entire group, which included Tsunotori, Kendo, and Shiozaki. The latter gasped at his loud and unapologetic use of profanity.

“Like you’re in my league.” Tsunotori shot back, faking a gag at the idea of being with Bakugo.

“Tsunotori!” Shiozaki turned to her, Kendo clapping her hands before this could devolve into a petty argument.

"Moving on, we already did Kaminari's room, so next up would be Fukidashi," Kendo called out, reading the name sign outside the door.

Fukidashi walked to the front so he could open the door. “Yup, so…yeah, here’s my crib.”

Fukidashi wasn't crazy with his room like some others. He had a rainbow carpet stretching across the floor, with some drawing prints on the wall. He also placed several large speech bubble stickers across the walls. His curtains were clear green with yellow spots, the same for his bed, which also had drawers built into the frame.

His bedside looked like a giant Lego block. At the same time, his desk was left in the drawing position, with several drawing instruments, including a drawing pad, left out. In the corner, a canvas with bottles of paint and several clean brushes was at the ready. Lastly, he had several containers just filled with toys, the most common being Legos, with some half-built constructions left around the space, one looking like he was building a model of U.A.

"Hmm, pretty artsy," Uraraka stated.

“You have a lot of Legos, man, like for real," Ashido noted that, as she hadn't seen this many, it had to be at least a couple thousand pieces here.

“What? They’re great for kids and help with the creative process. Helps to de-stress too.” Fukidashi defended as he had no shame for his hobbies.

"You have any of the sets of pros?" Bondo asked, to which Fukidashi scoffed.

"You know how expensive those get? And they'll always like 500 pieces minimum. They say it's for 8-14, but I can tell you that if you try putting one of those together in that age range, you'll get bored in 10 minutes flat."

"That's why you didn't have any LEGO merch for Ryukyu, Midoriya?” Kendo looked towards Midoriya as she asked this.

"…It's not very fun putting together, and you can't really play with them, so it's more just to put on a shelf when you're done," Midoriya confirmed, sounding slightly ashamed that he hadn’t gone and gotten such.

Momo focused more on the prints on the wall. Like with Kaibara's room, they seemed to be done by the same artist, and one with some talent for their craft at that. She could only conclude that Fukidashi was the one and had a proposal for him. “Fukidashi, could you perhaps draw some portraits of me? I would like to send some to my parents.”

Her parents were the sort who preferred such items over photos, and this would be a wonderful gift for them. Maybe one in her hero costume and some with friends would be nice.

As one would expect of a teen being asked to draw a beautiful woman, Fukidashi grew flustered and nearly messed up his response. "Oh, well, sure, why not?"

“Why’d he agree so fast?” Awase asked Kodai, to which Kaibara rolled his eyes, having heard the question.

“Because he knows Yaoyorozu won’t make it weird to mess with him.” He stated, ignoring how Tokage tried to act like she wouldn't have done such a thing. She loved to mess with them and change the 'drawing theme' to something like swimsuits, which was well within her alley.

Line break

"Next up, Shoji," Uraraka called out as they left Fukidashi's room.

"Hmm, well, we have a comfortable lead, so we don't need to worry too much, " Monoma said, though one need only spot Kendo watching him to know why he was acting so 'generous'.

"Careful, buster, who says you didn't flame out your best rooms in the jump? We can still win this." Kirishima reminded him, as they had seen less than half of the rooms.

"Mineta's been auto-disqualified." Rin reminded them.

“We could change that, you know.” Mineta threw himself back in, as they could still go down a floor and check out his room.

"We won't count the room towards the final score." Iida shot that down, and the rest agreed.

“Okay, that’s just not fair!” Mineta whined, as they were acting like his room would be some depraved sex dungeon; he wasn't that bad! Sadly for him, no one was giving him the time of day.

"Sorry to disappoint, but my room isn't going to be winning any rewards," Shogi told them before opening his door to reveal…nothing. Less than nothing, as his room just had his bedding nearly folded, a desk, and a seating map—nothing else.

“What the-Shogi, did you take stuff out?” Ojiro asked, as he was sure the dorms came with more furniture than this.

"I would expect a poster, but this kind of feels like a prison cell," Ashido commented, as there was no life in her. Ojiro was bland, sure, but there was something.

“You’re a minimalist?” Todoroki asked the room's owner, to whom he formed a mouth on one of his tentacles and replied with:

“I just never got why people would want so much stuff. Besides, the room has all I need.”

"Guys like this always have a super pervy side." Mineta wasn’t convinced this was all there was and started looking under the sheets.

“Stop protecting, Mineta.” Honenuki scolded as they all turned to leave. There was nothing much to see, so they could conclude that the room was another dud.

"Onward to the next room," Tokoyami murmured.

"That would be me," Awase stated as he thumbed out his door and went to open it.

Line Break

“Nooo! It’s been broken.” Monoma fell to his knees as Ashido and Hagakure cheered.

“What’s broken?” Midoriya asked, as he didn’t spot anything broken in the room.

"The streak." Monoma wiped the tear from his eye as Awase rolled his eyes.

“My room isn’t that bad, Monoma. Stop being so dramatic.” Awase quipped.

His room was perhaps the most average of class B thus far. He didn't do much to decorate it outside, setting up some shelves for some figurines, all of which were attractive characters from popular MMOs over the decades. Along with that were some posters, a small TV, and a gaming system. Outside of that, it looked like he hadn't done much more than Ojiro, but that didn't say much.

“I’m guessing you didn’t think to bring much from home?” Tsunotori asked him, to which Awase shrugged.

"More like this is most of my room. I never needed his space to scream 'this is mine' when I spent most of my time outside. Besides, fewer distractions help when I study." He explained that, as he was the type who fiddled or looked around, if his room had too much stuff in it, he would end up looking at that. That is why he built his figurine shelf out of view from the desk.

Line Break

With Awase’s room adding nothing to the score, it remained as it was, but one heavily in favour of class B. It was also the last boy's room on the fourth floor, which only left the two girls' rooms they'll need to check out.

“Hmm! We’re going to see something fabulous, guys, I know it!” Ashido declared, as prideful as a lion.

“Why’s that?” Fukidashi asked as she smiled at him, a glint in her eye.

"Because my room's next, come on, let's go!" She marched off, the rest following her as she led them towards her room. When they arrived, she opened the door.

She clearly went all out with her room, using a similar, not lightly shaded, wallpaper to what Jiro had used. She didn't add much to the walls outside a wall hang for her couple of hats, a clock, and a portrait of a pretty alien warrior.

Where she had focused her attention was on the furniture, as everyone seemed to be either black, a dark shade of pink, black with pink, or pink and black. Her beddings, bedside lamp, and curtains with the additional upper part added the fancy, as well as her small carpet, shelves, mirror, and drawers. She also had some throw pillows, some shaped like hearts, others like animals. Lastly, she had a table and a traditional Japanese seat, but only one was built like a Western seat with a backrest.

"What do you think, is it cute or super cute?" Ashido chirped, happy as a songbird.

"It definitely matches your personality," Rin mused, as what little he knew about Ashido painted him as someone who was quite explosive, friendly, and colourful.

"No kidding. The only thing missing is somewhere to dance." Kirishima laughed, which led to Ashido smacking his side.

"That's why I got that desk. I can move it into the bed whenever I feel the need to bust some moves." She pointed out that it might have been a smaller space than she was used to, but she was a pro and could dance the night away without knocking anything over. The best part was that, unlike the boys, she wouldn't need to worry about the people next to, above, or below her complaining, as they didn't exist.

“It’s a lovely personal space, not what I would have gone with, but I have no issues with it.” Shiozaki complimented, to which Ashido jumped over and gave her class B sister a big ole hug.

"Oh, thanks, Shiozaki, but it's your room next, right?" She asked, as she recalled spotting Shiozaki moving to and from this floor earlier.

Shiozaki nodded, though she seemed subdued compared to Ashido. "It is, but I feel like it's going to be similar to how Shoji's room went."

Line Break

"How is this like Shoji's room?" Uraraka asked, as Shiozaki hadn't brought much with him in terms of furniture. What those who knew her expected to see was a cross and Bible, and they saw both. The former was secured to the wall, bearing the centre figure of her faith on it. The other was kept on her bedside, so she could no doubt read it before she went to bed.

She was using the school-supplied curtains, the same as the drawer. The desk was different, though one wouldn't call it fancy; it was more… well-designed. Her book shelves also held textbooks, but they also contained several non-fiction texts, which seemed to each cover religion, sociology, history, and gardening.

It was the gardening that took the case, as there were plants everywhere! She had organized her room so that at least two dozen different potted plants would all get sunlight, while on her balcony, she had another half dozen with a bucket with gardening tools and a watering can next to them.

“It isn’t? It's certainly not as… personality-filled as the rest of your rooms." Shiozaki seemed confused by the question; if anything, she came off as embarrassed that she hadn't gone and added wallpaper, brought in instruments, or added additional lights.

Ojiro just slumped. "I don't know what's worse, the fact that she said that or that I'm sure she's not messing with us."

"Oh, this is just fantastic. I would have gotten more plants in my room if I could, but they don't do well with the cold. Do you think we can get some gardening done outside?" Midoriya seemed very happy to see all the green, reaching out to some, but opting against touching them.

Shiozaki smiled at the proposal. “I would love that. It's a rewarding activity. If I could, I would have asked to transplant some fruit trees from my church on school grounds."

“She no doubt gets plenty of fresh air in a space like this.” Iida fixed his glasses as Hagakure just turned to the very silent Aoyama and Shoda, holding a whiteboard on which they kept their scores.

"Just mark it for class B," Ashido grumbled, hating how Monoma let out another laugh of victory.

Line Break

“Well, since we're on the 5th floor, let's follow the same idea," Sato suggested, which received no complaints.

"That means we finally get to see the room of the loudmouth himself. I hope you can back it up." Hagakure called out, as she knew she recalled seeing Monoma's name listed for this floor. It would seem she was right, as the first door they came across bore his name.

Monoma placed a hand on his heart, gasping at her claims. "What, me? Are you implying that my choice in décor is subpar, like what seems to be the overwhelming trend in class A?"

“Monoma, please open the door. We can discuss which class has it better at the end." Before Monoma could make a show of this, Midoriya cut him off, asking nicely for them to move on as they still had other rooms to get to.

“I really don’t want to, but I will chop you if you insist on this," Kendo added to that, holding up a hand in a threatening manner.

"Oh, fine, ladies, gentlemen, inferiors of class A-” Monoma started, getting Kendo to step forward, angry that he couldn’t resist throwing in another jab.

“Monoma!” She called as Monoma swung his door open right as Kendo chopped his neck, dropping him again.

"Wow, fancy," Tsuburaba said that Monoma's room looked like it belonged to someone with much wealth. He had patterned wallpapers and had added embroidered covers to the parts of the walls where the ceiling met the walls. A vanity stand where he could sit and marvel at his own face. A couch to lounge in, with a small bookshelf next to it and a TV opposite, so he could partake in either. He also had a bed with those curtains while he swapped out his light's cover for what seemed like a chandelier.

“Looks like he’s some noble or something?” Bondo asked as Aoyama looked around, his frown growing before he gasped.

“Hold on a moment, this is French? I recognise those patterns; Monoma, you're a bold man for having such and showing it to me. What do you have to say about yourself?" Aoyama turned towards Monoma, demanding answers about why Monoma had styled his bedroom after a French royal, but Monoma was still out of it.

"He's not going to be saying anything for a while," Tokoyami answered for the blonde Midoriya, who was adorablely carried like a princess in her arms rather than having Kendo drag him along. Still, despite the….issue with the theme, it's far from bland or ill-thought-out."

"It doesn't speak of true wealth, but more taste as he knew what he wanted," Yaoyorozu added, as she could easily see how most of it was cheap, brought from prop stores, but all of which had been carefully chosen and altered to fit the role.

It was a skill she had wished she had had, considering how Monoma had clearly taken into account the size of their dorms when he picked this stuff out. Maybe his bedroom at home was a similar size. She couldn't say the same, and she was already fearing how she'd explain it to the rest when her room came up.

Line Break

“All right, we’re not in a good spot here.” Ashido dragged her feet. With scores 9 to 3 in class B's favour, they needed to start pulling some really great rooms, or their odds of getting the best room would go up in smoke.

"You heard Racoon Eyes, Shitty hair. You better have made something worth a damn," Bakugo ordered as they approached a room he had hoped would set the scales right, that of Kirishima.

Kirishima looked up in thought before he reached for his door and opened it up, standing in the way so they couldn’t see inside. “Well, you might not get what I’m going for.”

When he stood aside, they saw that his room was…well, it looked like a gym. His walls were covered in motivational posters and slogans, and he had some free weights lying around, a punching bag set up, and the same desk that the rooms came with. His curtains were a red fire pattern, while his bedding was camo green. “A den of manliness.”

Kirishima seemed proud of his space, but most of the girls had different thoughts.

“If I found out my boyfriend had a bedroom like this, I'd dump him." Hagakure summed it up pretty nicely, but there were dissenters. Shiozaki had no issue with it; if he liked this stuff, he liked it. It wasn't as if the slogans on the wall were anything she had an issue with; they were inspirational and upbeat.

“Oh, it's so sweet. Reminds me of my uncle's place!" Tsunotori was largely in favour of it.

"So bold, it makes me want to work out!" The same goes for Uraraka, which Kirishima really liked.

“You get it.”

"It seems like there's an issue here. The girls don't like it, but not all of them." Shishida started, as those three seemed to be the only ones in favour of the room.

“It sucks.”

Ignoring Bakugo’s comment, Shishida continued. “And most of the boys seem to like it.”

“Well, majority rules, baby. We have another mark to our class, oh yeah!” Sero cheered as Kirishima flashed a shark-toothed grin.

“Nice!”

Line Break

“Next up, the gentle giant of class B, Shishida!” They came to the next room.

“Ready to put our score in the double digits?” Tokage teased. They were so far ahead that it wasn't funny, and she felt their beast wouldn't disappoint.

"I'm not so arrogant as to claim that my dorm is the best, but I can say that my choice in décor is up to scratch," Shishida stated, but he had a bit of bravado as he opened the door. His room caught those in class A off guard, as it looked like Iida, but with much more personality.

“Damn, it’s like a wizard’s lair!” Hagakure called out as the shelves were all made from older-looking wood, one with intricate carvings and other parts that made it seem like it was carved out of a solid tree while it was still growing. The same was true for the bedframe and drawers, which looked heavy yet spacious. The carpet was a grassy green, while the walls were decorated with paintings that seemed straight out of a fantasy game.

“Or a wise old scholar.” Yanagi mused as she traced the books, many of whom seemed to be thickly covered and thick in page count, but then she got close and saw the name on one of them.

"Wait a second, these are all fantasy and romance," Komori called out as she pulled one out and opened it. She found that it was just a fancy case for the true book, which was much smaller than the case.

Shishida, with the eyes of his fellow students on him, merely moved to clean his glasses. “I’m quite the avid reader of such.”

Momo gasped as she pulled out and, when she opened it, spotted it to be what she had thought. “Oh, you also read I'll Go With Sweet Today?” She smiled as she held up the book in question. Its cover was cute and girly, with a college student on it. In her hand was a rose and a bowl of curry.

Shishida seemed to swoon at the sight of the book, almost floating over to Yaomomo as he gushed about it. "Hmm, I picked it up thanks to my grandmother. She's a fan of it and got me into the series when I was 11. It's such an engaging read. I find at times I stayed well past my typical curfew reading it."

Yaomomo matched his energy, giggling like the schoolgirl she was, breaking all her typical decorum as the two lost themselves in their hobby. "The same, their last book only just came out, but I was able to secure a copy, and I've been forcing myself to read just a chapter a week."

"What just happened?" Jiro asked, as they kept on watching the two talk about a series she hadn't even heard of. From the sound of it, they were deep into the story, throwing spoilers left and right.

“The giant’s got the heart of a romantic.” Shoji guessed that, whatever this book was, it had to be good to have both so invested in it, laughing and whispering about it in ways he had only seen on dramas.

“Dude, you class B guys are gonna pouch Yaomomo if this keeps up.” Kaminari nudged Kaibara’s side, and the guy just smiled. He could admit this was a little funny, as she was already invested in a painting from Fukidashi. He had a feeling class A's vice rep would be spending plenty of time with them.

“Hey, I say let’em. She's someone I have a feeling will fit right in with us." Komori chuckled, as it would be quite nice to take class A's best student and try to add her to their ranks. She wondered if Vlad would okay it. He seemed like he would consider it if only to mess with Eraser.

“Moving on!” Jiro clapped. She wouldn't give them the time to build their case; they weren't about to lose Yaomomo.

Line Break

And another chapter and a new month. For this one, I was determined to get through the rest of the rooms to clear this part of the story, outside of showing off class B's décor. I wanted to add a scene at the end, but time worked against me, so I had to cut things short roughly halfway through.

Also, I wanted to add a bit of an announcement: Like usual, I will be taking time off starting from November 23rd and lasting until January 5th. I'll have time to relax, see the family, and sit down for shorter, less frequent planning and brainstorming sessions. Good Lord, I have so many ideas.

Line break

As I said earlier, I was aiming to finish up to Yaomomo(as you might have already guessed, their room placement has been altered), which would have covered everyone on the 5th floor. Still, time is not my friend, and I don't want to end up posting this well past midnight.
