It is not reserved solely for the Goblins.
Nor do Luned and Heulwen permit themselves to cling to any vain, selfish hopes of an easy battle. They know that the wounded forest cries out for blood to be spilled in restitution, without which it will know only ever-increasing hatred and bitterness.
Goblin blood, of course- but Elven blood must flow too; a libation to atone for their failure. Every root ripped out and branch burned, every shattered trunk and toppled crown happened under Elven watch, and must be paid for in Elven lives.
Such is the age-old covenant between the forest and the Wood Elven kindreds.
Luned and Heulwen both know in their hearts what the forest demands of them.
They are ready to do what is needed.
