Game Dev: 32 - Extreme Improvement!

This monster looked like a mixture of a lion, with the paws of a bird, the wings of a dragon, the mouths opened like a strange plant full of teeth, while on the back was an apparently female body, but the demonic form of this body only faintly resembled that this had once been a woman, as this thing's skin was covering most of the face and creeping up like tentacles onto the head to act as hair.

[That monster is Rank F?!]

[Bruh, I've never seen such a grotesque monster like this even on Rank D game livestreams!!]

Looking at the gigantic monster in front of him, Martian felt his body go cold!

Despite being an E Rank Player, someone who normally deals with more powerful and frightening monsters than F Ranks, seeing this giant monster in front of him, for a second Martian's mind went blank.

While Martian's mind was slow, Dimitrescu took the opportunity to fly towards him and with the big claws that the monstrous part of her had and grabbed Martian's body while flying with him.

Feeling those claws cutting into his skin, Martian finally woke up and with the knife in hand, he started to cut her paws.

Unfortunately he let the knife he took from the coffin fall over the cliff, as it was clear that the knife he had didn't come close to the damage the other knife did.

But by using as much strength as he could, Martian finally managed to open a wound in the creature's claw, making Dimitrescu let go of him and letting him fall into one of the castle's towers.

Unlike the original game where the battle would always take place in the same place, Gabe configured it so that depending on the Player's reaction and how he would act against Dimitrescu, the location of the battle would be changed, as it would not make sense for her to always drop the Player in the same place regardless of whether he acts in a different way or not.

In the original game Ethan always acted the same way because that was just a programmed cutscene, but in Gabe's game it was totally free, where the Player could change some results and adapt in a better way for the battles.

So Gabe had to make other places where the Player could fall and continue the battle, without this affecting the development of the future story.

Coincidentally, Martian had fallen on top of the tower that Ethan would fall on in the normal game, so, but since he didn't know anything about it, he just looked around confused as he saw that monstrosity flying towards him while screaming.

"Arrrhg, how dare you hurt me?! Know that only Mother Miranda has seen this true form of mine, and I'll make sure only she knows about it!" Dimitrescu screamed in rage looking at the blood that was seeping from the wound on her leg.

But Martian was even more worried when he saw that the wound he made was healing fast.

'Damn it, I need to kill her before she recovers completely.' Martian thought as he took his shotgun and shot the monster.

As the monster was huge, Martian hardly missed a shot, but he began to notice something was wrong.

The shots that hit the beast part were healing much faster than the shots that hit the human part that was on the back of it.

'I have to shoot the human part of her!' Martian quickly understood and started focusing all of his shots on the human part.

Dimitrescu also noticed this and started using the beast part to protect the human part of her, thus not being as dangerous for Martian.

Despite some shots hitting the human part of Dimitrescu, Martian could see that it was recovering very fast, even if he kept shooting like that, maybe he would still die when the ammunition ran out.

Looking around in despair, he was shocked to see that Dimitrescu had flown away from the tower and started to summon hundreds of insects that were flying around it.

"How dare you try to save your daughters at the cost of killing mine?!" Dimitrescu screamed furiously.

Martian was outraged by this and shouted back. "It was your daughters who tried to kill me first!"

But Dimitrescu just laughed as he answered. "I don't mind human, now you will join your daughter! You can run but not hide!"

When she finished screaming that, Martian saw those hundreds of insects flying towards him.

Even though they were just small insects, due to the amount of insects that were flying around him, Martian started to feel his skin being cut all over his body.

In desperation, Matian grabbed the shotgun and fired a shot at the insect cloud, which luckily chased it away.

With no time to think, the pain made Martian instinctively pick up the medicine bottle and start squirting it all over his body.

In a few seconds the pain subsided, but Dimitrescu, who was just flying and watching from afar, returned to try to eat Martian.

Seeing that most of her wounds had healed, Martian was worried, but he wasted no time in shooting the human part of her at all costs.

In that desperate moment, Martian thought that if he hit that human part's head, the damage it would do would be even greater, as its healing rate wouldn't keep up with the damage done in a single point.

If her brain really stayed there, this would be his only chance to get her killed.

Bang!

Martian was quick and used the maximum of his concentration to aim the shots at her head, while running away from the monstrous part below her that tried to bite him at all costs.

Due to the focus he was being forced to have, unbeknownst to Martian, his Mana was absorbing this shooting experience and improving his ability to aim and use firearms quickly!

The emotion he felt, the fear that made his heart race, the adrenaline his body wanted to release, all these were heavily influencing Martian's shooting skill, which during this boss battle was able to increase much more than than a few hours of ordinary gameplay.

In a few minutes of battle, Martian was running out of ammo, but he could see, her head was almost destroyed, just one more shot and he would see her dying.

He knew that head was where her brain was because since he started shooting there, her whole body had slowed down bit by bit.

Bang!

The last shot rang out, causing Dimitrescu to stagger.

But she didn't give up, with one of the claws of the monstrous part, she grabbed Martian and dragged him with her to fall into a hole.

She understood that she would probably die, but she was sure Ethan would also die from the damage from the fall.

Martian, who was feeling the free fall, didn't know what to do.

He also understood Dimitrescu's idea and had to admit, the woman was smart, knowing how to take advantage of his hesitation by getting close to her.

"I think I'm going to die…" Martian commented to the audience on the livestream.

Dimitrescu was making sure to hold Ethan below her, which would ensure he took as much fall damage as possible.

But she didn't imagine that there was a big boulder sticking out of the walls of the hole, pushing her slightly aside as she fell.

On instinct, Dimitrescu opened the claw that held Ethan as he lifted it, before trying to grab one of the walls.

Even though she was falling, she still managed to slow down her fall a bit, but she didn't notice something.

As she raised the claw, Martian clung to that claw and was also thrown upwards, slowing his fall, and to Dimitrescu's dismay, Martian managed to balance himself in the fall and land on top of the monster's back, landing in standing in front of the human part of her.

Even though there was only the waist-up part of her body attached to the monster, it was still as big as Ethan who was standing, showing just how tall this woman was before she shifted.

But Martian paid no attention to this.

Bang!

With the last ammunition in his shotgun, Martian took advantage of the fact that they were close to falling to the ground and shot her while jumping up using her body as support.

This one didn't slow down the speed of his fall at all, but it still served as an aid, while the big body of the Dimitrescu monster served as a support to hold him.

Fortunately, this monster was made of meat, which absorbed most of the impact, but still left Martian a little dizzy after the fall and with some pain around his body.

But those pains were ignoreable due to the dopamine he was feeling from having finally killed this monster!

"I achieved!" Martian finally noticed as he started screaming in excitement at having killed such a powerful monster!

[What an epic battle, it even seems like a battle that Rank C players would face!]

[Anyone who has the nerve to say that this game was made by only an F Rank Developer will have to accept my fury!]

That last comment was made by a user who had never commented on the livestream before, but as soon as that comment came up, all other comments stopped.

Not because the question was so interesting, as many people asked the Players' opinion while they were playing the game.

But what caught the viewers' attention the most was the name of the account that made that comment.

Seeing that the person who made this comment was EA himself, the Developer who made this game so wonderful, despite the excitement they were feeling, the viewers were very polite as they kept quiet and quickly stopped commenting, leaving only EA's comment last until Martian answered.

That was pretty amazing, as there were over 4,000 people on the livestream after the battle was over. Getting those 4,000 people to stop commenting just by seeing his name was something that took even Gabe by surprise.

Martian wasn't focusing on the chat at the moment, but when he looked at the chat and saw that there were no new messages coming in he thought it was a bug.

But when he read the last chat message and saw the name of the one who sent it, even he felt the hairs on his body stand on end as excitement rose.

"Are you really the EA?" Martian tried to confirm, while trying to hide his excitement.

[Yes, I came to watch your livestream when I noticed that you were the first streamer to face Lady Dimitrescu.]

Seeing EA's response, Martian was even more excited, especially when he learned that the way he was playing had attracted the attention of the Game Developer!

"Great, great! You can ask anything Mr. EA, I'll answer everything with great pleasure!" Martian responded as he sat on Dimitrescu's corpse that had dried up and turned into a statue.

Gabe didn't care too much either and decided to ask Martian some questions about his battle experience and things he thought while playing, as well as giving some explanations to the curious Players that came up from time to time.

Martian's livestream that had 4k viewers when the battle ended, not only did he not lose viewers when he finished the battle, but the amount of viewers increased to 10k people and kept rising!

Everyone was curious about the EA, which for the first time appeared publicly while talking to people.

The livestream that was focused on Martian, has now completely shifted its focus to the chat, where Electronic Arts was talking to these people!
