Let Them Eat Cake

Hello friends! I'm back with a delicious post featuring drag performer Black Widow! They are competing for a National Title, and asked me to assist with both the artwork and photography! Isn't that a treat?

This time we are appealing to our fans of all things sweet, with this decadent dress designed by Geo Johnson, and hand painted by Body Art Brandon! (oops that's me)

I helped jazz up the makeup here, and I did the photography for this shoot. Hair is by Robert Verdugo, as well as additional love by Ryder Gently and Black Dahlia (it takes a village)

Competing for a National Title is no joke, both in the effort, fund raising commitments, travel, and expenses. As a thanks for hiring me to paint her dress, I did this shoot as a "Sponsor".

Let's hope she wins!

I also designed a dress for Sonja Savage, for a different National Title, and she's compensating me for that concept sketch. She's working with another artist with a 3D Printer to build it! My artwork doesn't have boundaries <3



I believe she's having fresh cupcakes made for this competition, and they're being driven in from out of state. Talk about commitment! Are you getting a sense that Drag takes work?

When I helped Luis with a Texas Pageant last year, he spent close to 12,000 dollars on his package. That's including flying in me, dancers, makeup artists, clothes, and more. 

So when you're not sure if you should tip a Queen or King, think about how hard they hustle for your dollar. Give em' a buck or two! They'll appreciate you <3

Of course, we had to get a photo of her drinking a mysterious fluid. What do you think it is?
