Yeah I remember the big three being OP, Naruto and Bleach when I was watching this moment go down the first time, and I appreciated Luffy going through it like this as an MC. We had our clutch save with Rayleigh pulling up but it didn't solve everything. We lost. Like Heatah said if this had been malicious it would've been over, and damn, didn't Moria warn us of just that? Your whole crew could get wiped out fucking around in the New World and we ain't even there yet. Damn.

Damn hearing Luffy break down never gets any easier. Shit hits me hard every time, his VA was killing it. Robin's and Zoro's hurt me personally as the first and last because Luffy seemed so stunned. Zoro? Gone? He's always in disbelief if Zoro gets taken out. and Robin it's a mess because after Enies the idea of Robin ever getting forcibly taken from them feels like a horrific repeat.

Welp, guess One Piece is over guys. Time for 600 episodes of anime-original filler. But for real, this episode originally aired June 14, 2009, and then the next non-filler episode was June 5, 2009. Anime-only folks had to wait three whole weeks to find out the fate of the crew. The manga however did maintain its usual schedule.

This was really sad but at the same time I really loved this. In OP if you are weak, YOU ARE WEAK. You won't randomly conquer someone who's definitely miles ahead in both raw power and experience with the power of friendship. I just really love when a series can make a cast feel powerful in their own right but at the same time still capable of catching L's like this.

I'm glad yall can acknowledge how great the voice acting is, especially Luffy's. Much respect to all of them because the voice acting on this show is amazing but Luffy's specifically gets me in my feels, whether its hype or straight up sadness. Its definitely a big reason why Luffy is such a loveable character for me.
