Miles Morales: New Spider Chapter 36: The Web of Fate Tightens.

---

**Earth-13983 – Lycansphere, Home of Spider-Werewolf**

"AWROOo-!"

The pained howl echoed across the barren landscape as the massive form of the Spider-Werewolf lay impaled on the rocky ground, bloodied and broken. Looming over him, an Inheritor, his face concealed beneath a smooth helmet, twisted his energy weapon, watching the life drain from his prey.

"Father, are you watching?" The Inheritor’s voice cracked with both pride and desperation. "See my latest kill! The great Spider-Werewolf of Lycansphere!" He yanked the glowing, two-pronged spear from the creature's body, raising it high in triumph. "Is this tribute enough, Lord Solus? Is my hunt at long last over? May I return home?"

**Earth-001 – Loomworld, Domain of the Inheritors**

Across the vast web of life, shimmering strands of destiny stretched infinitely, pulsing with golden light that spanned entire universes. The Master Weaver, bent and subservient, obeyed the command of Solus, the ruler of the Inheritors.

"Weaver, send my wayward son to another world," Solus commanded, his voice like thunder. "Somewhere more… challenging this time."

The Weaver’s hands danced across the strands, shifting the fates of entire realities.

"Karn will wander far and wide if he is to reclaim his place at my table," Solus mused aloud, his eyes narrowing as his other son, Molurn, approached. "And you, Molurn. While your brother’s path is aimless, yours has come to an end, hasn’t it?"

Molurn’s jaw tightened. "It’s nothing, Father."

Solus’s gaze bore into him. "Is that so? Whispers say otherwise. They say you fear a certain spider—a spider who has killed you not once, but twice. The same one who has bested your brother Daemos."

Molurn’s face darkened. "What concerns me is the prophecy. Four players have emerged on the board."

Solus nodded gravely. "Yes, three we know—the Bride, the Scion, and the Other. But the fourth—unexpected, unpredictable, the Brave—threatens everything. They could bring about our end."

Molurn clenched his fists. "I know where they all are. But one lies in refuge, beyond our reach."

"Nothing is beyond my reach," Solus growled, a predatory smirk curling his lips. "Gather your brother, Jennix. We have toyed with these spiders long enough. It’s time to crush their last hope."

**Earth-13 – Safe Zone, Home of Cosmic Spider-Man**

A groggy Superior Spider-Man blinked as a hand appeared in front of him. "What’s the meaning of this?"

Spider-Man 616 offered a weary smile. "I’m reaching out because... I need you." He hauled Superior Spider-Man to his feet. "You’ve held your own against the Inheritors, and I’d be a fool not to seek your counsel on what comes next."

Superior Spider-Man allowed a slight smirk. "That is the first intelligent thing you’ve said thus far." Turning, he surveyed their surroundings. "But this so-called ‘safe zone’ of yours isn’t very safe. We’re far too exposed."

Spider-Man 616 rubbed the back of his neck. "You’re not wrong. No walls, no buildings to swing from. We should move closer to the streets."

Cosmic Spider-Man, hovering confidently above them, interrupted. "There’s no need. I’m here to watch over all of you."

"And it’s been working so far," added Spider-Britain.

Superior Spider-Man shook his head. "I don’t like having all my eggs in one web sack."

**Back in the Safe Zone...**

The atmosphere shifted. A cold, sharp tension filled the air as the collective Spidey senses of all the gathered spiders rang in unison. It was a warning—a great danger was approaching.

May Parker clutched her brother Benjy tightly as he cried in her arms. "Do you feel that?"

Cosmic Spider-Man answered solemnly, "We all do, May. Even your brother."

"I’ve never felt anything like this," Spider-Punk muttered, his voice shaky. "Bad mojo’s coming."

A swirling portal of black smoke and golden energy tore open before them. From its depths stepped the Inheritors—Jennix and Molurn.

Jennix inhaled deeply, a wicked grin spreading across his face. "So, this is where they’ve been hiding."

"No, brother," Molurn corrected, his eyes gleaming with malice. "This is where they’ve been cowering."

Cosmic Spider-Man rose into the sky, his voice booming. "Inheritors! I’ve been waiting for you."

"They’ve brought someone else," Superior Spider-Man warned.

A massive figure followed through the portal—a towering giant whose mere presence sent tremors through the spider-totems. Their Spidey senses flared violently, causing some to cry out in pain.

"I am Solus," the giant declared, his voice shaking the very ground. "And I herald your doom."

With a roar, the Inheritors lunged at the spiders. Jennix tore into them like beasts, draining their life force with a single touch. Screams of anguish echoed through the air, bodies collapsing into withered husks. Amid the chaos, Cosmic Spider-Man retaliated, his energy blasts tearing through Jennix, reducing him to ash.

"Enough!" Cosmic Spider-Man thundered. "Everyone, get clear! I’ve got this."

He unleashed a flurry of cosmic energy, raining down a barrage of blasts on Solus, but the Inheritor king barely flinched.

Solus grinned. "You think this is a safe zone? There’s no such thing." With a single bound, Solus smashed into Cosmic Spider-Man, driving him deep into the ground.

Cosmic Spider-Man gasped. "This... this is impossible! I am the most powerful being in the universe!"

"In this universe, perhaps," Solus mocked, "but I am the king and god of all realities!"

The battle between the two titans raged, their strikes shaking the earth beneath them. Blue energy clashed against raw, primal strength as the spiders watched, helpless. The victor of this fight would determine the fate of the multiverse.

Cosmic Spider-Man gathered his energy, forming a triangle with his fingers. "You’re no match for the Enigma Force!"

Solus laughed cruelly. "Your precious Enigma Force? It’s pure life energy—exactly what I devour!" With a brutal twist, Solus ripped the cosmic life force from his opponent, reducing Cosmic Spider-Man to a shriveled corpse.

Molurn triumphantly held Benjy aloft. "The Scion is ours!"

As the remaining spiders reeled from the devastation, a massive metallic figure emerged from a swirling purple portal.

"LEOPARDON!" the voice of Japanese Spider-Man roared, the iron giant charging straight at Solus.

"What is this... creature?" Solus sneered.

"I am the emissary of hell!" Japanese Spider-Man’s voice echoed. "And I will fight for the fate of all spiders!"

Solus tore the mechanical titan apart with his bare hands. "Enough of your toys!"

As chaos unfolded, Spider-Man 616 rallied the remaining survivors. "Everyone, follow me! We’re jumping now!" One by one, the spiders vanished through the portal, leaving behind the wreckage of their once-safe haven.

The web of fate had been torn asunder, and the final battle was drawing near.
