TF TUSEDAY TIDBIT- a bit of old writing

Hey yall! for this Tf Tuesday I just wanted to share a small bit of transformation writing that I did a while back. ( and by that I mean a couple years back now..)

its a small  Dungeons and Dragons inspired Transformation Scene and was written to be a bit self-indulgent so it features one of my fave monsters, The Mindflayer ( or more accurately the Illithid). It is a tad bit body horror-y so if that puts you off then pls skip this post.

And so with out further ado~

Love in the Underdark

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Ysebet asked “ there's nothing I can do to convince you otherwise? Relationships based on deceit never work out you know..”
Altheid stared at the witch before her, sensing the anxiety coming from her. In the few years she had known Ysebet, Altheid had grown as close to her as to her own Dam if not closer. Altheid knew what she had to do. She had come to the witch with a most perplexing problem and she intended to find a solution.
The problem was -in short- that Althied had fallen in love. She had fallen in love with a beautiful halfling bard, whose party had been adventuring in the Underdark for the last month. Watching the party from the shadows for the past weeks, Althied had grown entranced by the small, curly-haired, sunnily dispositioned, bards behavior. Althied had grown to love the way the tiny soprano's voice would lift everyone's spirits and she had admired her bravery and courage as she bolstered her party onward through the various caverns.
< I need to do this Ysebet, I simply can't go on without at least trying…. My heart would break.>
With a sweeping step towards Ysebet, Altheid gestured at herself and continued
< I have to try and talk to her at least one and  I know I would stand no chance as I am. The adventurers would tear me to ribbons before I even had the chance to tell them the real reason I came.>
Ysebet looked at Altheid for a long while, really stared at the tall graceful Mindflayer in front of her. Altheid was a fine example of her species, She for all intents and purposes looked like an aquatic horror, her head resembling a purple four-tentacled octopus and her body being humanoid but abnormally tall and skinny. With her long slender deep purple tentacles and milky white glistening eyes, Althied wouldn't even be able to get a word in edgewise before the paladin of the party started hacking away. Ysebet sighed and then simply said,
“ It will hurt, you know.”
<I know.>
“every single time.”
< I'm willing to do so for her.>
Ysebet gave Altheid one more sad look before she reached into a soft leather bag that she had slung around her shoulders. She knew that kind of stubbornness, she herself had once possessed it before being banished here to the Underdark... And for a similar reason as well. The surface world did not look kindly on those that loved within their gender. Now Athlied was trying to cross the taboo of both gender and species! Ysebet pulled out a wooden box about the size of a thick book and undid the latch. Inside were about 30 glass test tubes filled with green liquid. They were all bound tightly into the box to stop them from rolling around. Carefully Ysebet drew one out,
“ Each potion lasts for a week. In the box, there should be enough for about a year… if you ever need more you should come to me”
Again out of the bag Ysebet drew something. It was a small mirror set into the top half of a clamshell.
“ You can reach me whenever you like by tapping three times on the mirror and  saying my name…. I will always pick up for you”
Altheid was stunned at the generosity, she carefully took the mirror and the proffered box in her webbed hands
< You are a far better friend than I deserve Ysebet Darnell. Far better , thank you.>
Ysebet could tell Altheid meant it sincerely.
They stood in silence for a while in the small cavern that Ysebet called home, their understanding of what the other was going through tied them together in a way that they had not felt before in their friendship. then Altheid pulled one of the test tubes from its socket.
< One week you said?>
“yup.”
< well… as the humans say, here goes nothing.>
And Altheid downed the potion in one gulp.
The pain was intense. The moment the tiny potion hit Althied’s lamprey-like mouth it stung like pure fire. It ran down her gullet and settled in her stomach with a thud. From there Altheid could feel her skin and muscle start to roil, a resounding crack from her back drew the first scream from her lips as her spine seemed to break in upon itself. Altheid fell to her knees as her long slender tentacles began to retreat back into her face.
She could see small spots of cream colored skin begin dotting her beautiful purple hands. Her vision wavered everything shifting and swirling around her. She could feel three new toes push their way out of the skin and on her hand a similar process brought her finger count up to five.
Her teeth were suddenly far to lose and came tumbling out of her mouth only to land in the small puddle of drool and inky blood that had collected beneath her.
She could hear the creaking of bone as her face began to rearrange itself. Her tentacles were no more than tiny nubs now.  And her guts seemed to be sloshing around inside her.
Then suddenly she was gasping for air as her body changed size, her tight corset cutting off the airflow to her rapidly changing ribcage. Ysebet flew to her in a second, knife in hand, cutting the corset free while muttering something along the lines of
“You take your clothes off before you take a transformation potion ye lovesick idiot!!”
Altheid sucked in a gasping breath as the corset was torn free. The changes continued, new duller teeth filling in a different shaped mouth, a layer of short black hair growing from a bald head. And then with a gasping shudder, the changes to her solidified leaving a shaking, gasping, half-naked ,dark haired human woman on the floor of Ysebet’s tower.
Placing a hand on Altheid’s new shoulder Ysebet helped her to sit up. The new human's chest rose and fell, breathing heavily, exhausted from the pain. Ysebet rubbed a hand on Altheid’s back.
“Well now... I did warn you it would be painful.”
There was a pause as Altheid began to reply in her mind but then remembered that she no longer had the necessary telepathy to do so. She tried again a few shuddering syllables escaping past newly formed lips, Nothing coherent of course just a few random sounds. Altheid tried again and after a few false starts mumbled something to the effect of
“aam iee pruuh- pruhitty nao?”
Ysebet stared at the woman for a moment and then threw her head back and laughed.
Once the side-splitting laughter subsided she said
“Honey.. you are so pretty that if I was 20 years younger you would have to pry me away from you with a crowbar! That lady love of yours is one lucky gal if you're willing to go through all this just to see if she likes ya! ”
And indeed Altheid’s human form was very becoming. She was still very thin by human standards with high cheekbones and short dark hair. She had skin that while it seemed pale due to lack of exposure to light still promised a tanner fuller olive tone later on. The only thing that was odd was her eyes, her eyes were an extremely light grey color almost silver that gave her a most unnerving stare.
Altheid struggled to her feet, the height change making her feel dizzy and out of sorts. Ysebet helped steady her Altheid gave a shudder and slowly said
“Iee feeal verry kuh- cold” she blinked and added, “ an mai eyees are shhite..”
Ysebet just laughed again
“ come one then! Let us get you some better clothes... You're gonna need something more fitting to meet your future girlfriend.”
