The lyrics are great and the mv is brilliant and mustโve been fun and a bit uncomfortable to shoot with all that water. I was biting my fingernails when they were trapped by the water rising up to the ceiling. Only JK could do a scene where heโs in a coffin with the lid down to start with and that bit where heโs on the board? flying high over the city is one Iโm sure he wouldโve happily shot in real life but obviously it is CGI. ARMYs hearts would not have survived him really doing that. Iโm not sure about the funeral scene and, although Lattoโs rap is good, I donโt think it adds to the song. Iโm surprised they brought another artist in to collab on his first solo. She couldโve been brought in for the explicit version only. I agree that it has Hope World vibes.

When you hear what HE SAID in the explicit version, her rap will fit even more. (Frankly, the song and the MV need her rap. Otherwise, the MV risks coming across as stalkerish/aggressive vs balanced/mutual.) You are going to lose it. I screamed, laughed, danced, and sang just from the surprise. For example he could have rapped a verse himself in the song and that would have been fire ๐I even made mention of this in our reaction to the GMA performance(coming soon) - so itโs so funny to see that you basically said the same thing as I did. But I do see the value in bringing in a femaleโs perspective in a song like this because of what the song is about and I think Latto definitely stepped up to the plate and did very well.

Maybe if they did epic bridge or did breakdance or have JK rap that would work too. And honestly, I feel like the feature was done to make the song even more "western" and have american audience listen to it.
