All Forge Core Components complete βœ… - Now it's time for polish and improvements (the video isn't final, just a debug sketchup)

Forge is finished, right as planned 🫑

(Of course i mean the core mechanics, I'm polishing, adding new visuals as we speak. Map is just a sketchup, debug map)

Anyway the good news...it plays really well, the difficulty can be dialed up or down; there are lots of ways you can do it...

with spawners at the gates, i actually found myself kind of in a brief state of flow trying to break down the walls and take out the spawners

So far what makes it fun is:

Even with a party and not solo, the towers, shields can easily overwhelm (especially given i'm playing on debug and invincible)

once you add spawners behind the shields, so enemies can come out, but you can't get in...yeah its challenging and fun

I found myself lobbing lots of nades and using firefly drones

so in real gameplay, i'll imagine there will be a lot of dodging, fighting, retreating to heal and so on

Obviously once you are in, the one i've done isn't that big, so its kind of just hold the ground after (not done that yet; will do it tomorrow)

But that can also be mixed up, because you could have layered forges, so you'd have to bust through multiple layers to get to the spire in the middle; that will be for later levels and very challenging

Overall, i think i've created an absolutely beasting game mechanic! |

A rough date i'm thinking will be about May, June. thats if i am able to complete all the scenes and RTS, RPG and VN items i need by then. I think i'm on track.
