Long Episode format, I want your thoughts

It' been suggested to me by a few people now that I split up longer 20-minute-format episodes into two liveblogs to save myself nightmare twelve-hour liveblogging sessions.  The proposal would be that someone (my s/o has actually offered to do this themselves) would prewatch the episodes and give me timestamps for a mid-episode stopping point--and especially a bunch of stopping points for the Madoka movie.

This would be a big change from the "full episode is a Liveblog" format I've been doing for a long time, though, and I'm hesitant to implement it.  I'd like all of your thoughts.

this seems like a great idea to me!

That's reasonable, since you're doing twice the work. I'm okay with the change.

Sounds good to me.

From what I understand, he always does that even if 11 minute shows.

That could work, especially for anime wih those eyecatch segments at the midpoint. There is one thing I feel could be very helpful though, and that is that when liveblogging part two (or three, or more) of an episode you should first rewatch the earlier parts without liveblogging, in order to keep it fresh in your mind.

Seems fair to me. After all, twice as long episodes = twice as much work unless you ease up on the granularity, and there's no good reason I see for you getting the same amount of money for twice as much work. I'd imagine your current patrons have based their pledges on how much one episode was during Steven Universe, so I'll personally be surprised if the majority isn't okay with this. One issue is how you're going to refer to these sections, and how you'll list the "$cash per [whatever]" sections on Patreon. If you do this, you'll need a more specific term than "episode", so as to not mislead new patrons and old patrons who missed this change. I'd recommend not going "per session", since that would mean your patrons would be paying more whenever you were unable to finish your designated portion in one session. In the long run, that would be more money for less work. (This is something I gave some thought to when setting up my own Patreon.)

You already effectively do this for Steven Universe, might as well formalise it.
