Lykortha Expanse

Hello all!

The Lykortha Expanse is the final location found in the 5E module, Candlekeep Mysteries. It's been a long time coming, some version of it as a work-in-progress existing on my computer for well over a year now. I'm very pleased to say that with this location's completion that also means that we've mapped every location from Candlekeep Mysteries! Meaning that I may now choose to focus more solely on either Dragon of Icespire Peak, Dragon Heist, or put out a poll to determine the next book we'll delve into.

The map here is full of high-density textures, gradients, and little details which in combination with its scale (it measures 81x71 grid squares!) make the resulting file sizes rather cumbersome. In the ZIP downloads below you'll find the standard grid/no grid variants alongside a completely unfurnished version of the location. However, you'll also find two different compressions options, VTT1 and VTT2:

• VTT2: map is 20% of original resolution

• VTT1: map is 40% of original resolution

• No VTT suffix: map is 80% of original resolution

You'll note from the above that I've chosen to compress even the 'base' version slightly because the raw, full resolution file comes out to ~120mb per map. In a cross-comparison with the original, I believe the difference between it and the 80% resolution featured in the base is negligible. If however you would still like those full resolution map files, I've also included them here as a separate download.

As you might imagine from just the JPEGs of this location, the PSD files are exponentially more ridiculous. The raw version of this map clocks in at about 4.5GB, meaning that it has to be saved as a particular kind of photoshop extension (PSB) as regular 'ol photoshop doesn't play around with that. The download link below is to the unfurnished Photoshop file, which still manages to measure at about 1.5GB. If there are any of you who would like that 4.5GB PSB file, please send me a DM or email and I'll generate a download link for you off of patreon (who shockingly, will not host a 4.5GB PSB file).
