While this year's annual patron survey is ongoing, last year's survey indicated a distinguishably high amount of interest in some of the more experimental asset series. It was this direction that lead to the 3 different sets of Planar Assets released this year as well as today's first release of Class Assets.
Class Assets are designed to help fill niche functions and needs not by biome, civilization, or time period, but by class! The first set is dedicated to the Paladin and is a healthy mix of paladin-centric props and decor alongside several different spell and ability markers for things closely associated with the paladin class. Depending on the response to this debut look at the series' concept, future iterations would continue to narrow in on a single player class at a time.
Class Assets 1 Contains:
Clothing and weaponry suitable for the 3 original default Paladin oaths: Ancient, Devotion, and Vengeance
Several different types of decor including rugs, flags, banners, floor carvings, and worn symbols either loosely associated with the 3 oaths above or instead featuring common iconography used with those oaths
Other various small props I'd personally associate with the more ritualistic practices of a typical paladin: tomes, candles, incense, etc.
Several different ability and spell markers intended to be used in encounters and are built specifically around a paladin's different 'auras' as well as a handful of different spells that might merit a visual representation
My example map of the forest home of a paladin that's devoted themselves to the oath of the ancients. This map arrives in its standard default appearance (seen above) and unfurnished variant, but I've also taken the time to render a completely 'barren' version for those of you that might benefit from a conveniently sparse mountainside forest scene.
*the Megapack system has been overhauled slightly, see here for more details
The Dungeondraft-ready conversion of Class Assets 1 contains all of the standard assets as objects within the pack as well as colorable counterparts of most of the available assets. You'll also find a half dozen or so new 'lights' built from slightly altered versions of the spell markers. Enjoy!
Enjoy!
