One of the environs I've wanted some updating to for a while now has been the Tropical Assets series, ever since its debut roughly 2.5 years ago. The versatility of palm trees, beaches, waves, and watery textures has been sorely lacking and I'm pleased to say that this new release helps address that weakness in the library.
The set contains a variety of seamless beach "tiles", a variety of palm trees and their pieces to modulate them on your own, new wave assets, seaweed, seashells, and a trio of smaller boats. I've also taken the extra effort to assemble a handful of "beach templates" to allow for immediate, ready-to-build scenes for quicker map mapking. It's my hope that this set helps to add more functionality in pairing with last month's Ships & Sailing Assets 2 release.
Tropical 2 contains:
A set of 6 seamless beach tiles that can be placed side-by-side and arrive in 3 different lengths of sand
2 new water textures in 3 different colorations, a new sand texture that matches the sand used in the beach tiles, and 10 new wave assets, done in a more textured, painterly style
A trio of smaller boats, each in an unfurnished and furnished variant
A pack of seaweed pieces and clusters, all arriving in two different tones
9 varieties of seashells and 2 new smaller sails
12 new palm trees in a variety of sizes alongside 2 bare trunks and 8 individual branches for building your own palm trees if desired
Lastly, 4 blank "beach templates", each using different textures and slightly different colorations to allow for easy starting foundations. One of these templates having been used to create the example map previewed above. All arriving with or without grids and in VTT resolution variants.
The Dungeondraft-ready conversion of Tropical Assets 2 contains everything therein as an object within the mapmaking program along with a majority of said objects featuring a colorable counterpart. You'll also find terrain and patterns for the various textures in this path along with 2 path options using the seamless beach tiles.
Enjoy!
