Roughly a year ago I began the "Adventure Assets" series in response to feedback in that year's patron survey generally expressing a desire for more specific assets that might fit more niche scenarios or create visual interest in a map of otherwise more mundane pieces.
The Adventure Assets series looks to help provide pieces that are characterized by visuals and tone of specific adventures (for now, from 5E D&D). I really like that this helps create a grab-bag of goodies catered to DMs that are going to be running a particular campaign as well as help expand the library with those aforementioned "niche assets" in a way that I likely wouldn't have otherwise. In what other pack can I choose to visualize an astoundingly detailed cauldron (thanks iggwilv) alongside some discarded puppets, grumpy mushrooms, and a giant's crockery?
I went with the Wild Beyond the Witchlight module for this round due to my own familiarity and fondness for the adventure as well as feeling like tied in nicely with the existing momentum of this Summer's Woodland Assets 4 and Planar Assets 1. I'd also be remiss if I didn't highlight Festival Assets 1 for the way it self-evidently builds with the existing carnival assets here (as seen in the previewed example map above).
Adventure 4 contains:
A set of more updated bleachers in a variety of sizes
A variety of carnival decor, zany tents, and marvelous wagons
A set of isolated wagon wheels you can slap onto other assets to create your own makeshift wagons, as I've experimented with myself in Wagons 22, 23, and 24
A diverse array of different elements pertaining directly to the novel like a taxidermied nightmare horse, wearable butterfly wings, and a sentient oilcan.
My standard "example map" of a scene inspired by the book's opening location of the Witchlight Carnival, arriving in both gridless and VTT variants
Lastly, a slightly altered and updated version of "Map 7" from the Swamp Maps collection, which depicts Slanty Tower, one of the first locations encountered within Prismeer
The Dungeondraft-ready conversion of Adventure Assets 4 contains everything therein as an object within the mapmaking program along with a majority of said objects featuring a colorable counterpart.
Enjoy!
