Over 5 years ago I released "Ships & Sailing Assets 1"; a what now seems like humble collection of furniture pieces alongside an assembly of varying shapes and sizes of ship templates to construct as you needed. Since then the theme of vessel/ship had laid dormant until we released Airship Assets 1 + 2 in the last twelve months. Obviously those were generally more of a high-magic/technological bent to them, but did deliver a great deal more of ship accessories and deck templates.
Today, we're releasing Ships & Sailing Assets 2. The main goal of the set is to expand and flood into areas of need to convincingly structure a classic, wooden, sea-faring ship. Things that are not already covered in Furniture Assets or Airship Assets, or otherwise. I pair this set of 150+ assets alongside a new, updated basic ship template for you to use as you please.
Ships & Sailing 2 contains:
A half dozen new cannons and cannonballs--a couple of the cannons arriving at a rather gargantuan size.
A slew of "infrastructural" pieces of ship-building such as capstans, gangplanks, rope rigging, cargo gates, trapdoors, and the humble post.
A new set of sails that are seamless in order to span the width of even the largest ships alongside a handful of different "caps" to that seamless middle piece to add some variety.
Other odds and ends such as a new hammock, fishing net, some "water wheels", and more.
Lastly, my standard "example map" of the furnished version of "Ship 6" sailing along the open sea. It comes in a gridless and VTT variant.
The Dungeondraft-ready conversion of Ships & Sailing Assets 2 contains everything therein as an object within the mapmaking program along with a majority of said objects featuring a colorable counterpart. It also contains 2 new path options for the seamless sails object as well as the seamless rigid rope object.
Enjoy!
