Dungeondraft Compendium

Welcome to the one-stop-shop for all things Dungeondraft!

This page is for finding, using, and downloading all of our asset library to the popular mapmaking software, Dungeondraft! As of July 2022, this library consists of over 86 different asset packs and continues to grow each month! I would highly recommend downloading our Dungeondraft Handbook PDF to get a navigable document summarizing every available pack, what they contain, and with embedded download links. Within this post, there are two primary ways to access and navigate these packs:

Individual Packs: In this instance, each pack arrives as separate Dungeondraft packs and are selected as such when choosing which asset(s) you do or don't want to use when first starting a new map.

Megapacks: These contain all of the exact same content and tags as the individual packs, but have been compiled so as to fit into as few packs as possible. This is by far my recommended way of engaging with the packs.

Each of the download links will only work if you are a current patron and logged in to patreon. They each contain the exact same content, just structured differently per their summaries above. You will only need to extract the ZIP file and make sure the .dungeondraft files are placed in the folder you have designated Dungeondraft to pull packs from previously.

I may in the future create my own guide to more quickly facilitate the asset importing process as well as fun tricks that may be specialized to our content, but in the meantime I'd highly recommend the Dungeondraft Community Manual. This is a PDF guide created by the Dungeondraft community and those found on their Subreddit. This subreddit is another great resource I'd point you towards as a new Dungeondraft user as a place where you'll find lots of other user-created maps, tips & tricks, and a community to upload your own questions to when needed.

Yeah the whole library was updated and announced as such a couple of months back--you can download these four (plus the texture pack!) and use them to replace the old system. It is an organizational update along with a series of small bug fixes to various packs, and most importantly, loads a lot faster than the previous set of 1-17.

Venatus Maps

I have what are probably all the old Megapacks, #1-17. Now I see there's only four, what's the deal with that? Are these all new megapacks? Are the condensed versions of the previous megapacks? I don't want to have duplicates of every asset I have.

D Woods

How far back does this go and where do I need to start digging into the individual packs? I attempted to use Inkarnate at first and it was a rough start to use these assets.

Adam G Morse

Just adding a basic version number between each update would allow people who use this thread to know which pack to download, instead of having to download the whole thing, each month.

Brandon Collison

Hmm.. can't replicate, seems to be working fine on my side. Which version of DD are you using?

Venatus Maps

just FYI, for some reason, the terrain brushes don't seem to load with the megapack, but with the individual packs they work properly.

casserowl

Hey Nagy, at this time we don't have any clipstudio supported conversions, just dungeondraft.

Venatus Maps

There's a way to use this brushsets like the one from the gif in ClipStudo, or it just work on Dungeondraft?

Nagy F

The individual megapack links here are updated live with each new asset pack release; the "compilation" of the megapacks is updated at the end of each month, as is all (affected) compilations. Are you noticing any issues?

Venatus Maps

When were the megapacks last updated?

Callum Sim

These packs are all amazing! Just wondering if there are any future plans to build mega-packs like some other creators have? It would be so nice to cut back on the number of packs that I currently have loaded.

Andrea M Chandler

Yes! The city assets are one of the few remaining asset packs that we are working on converting over.

Venatus Maps

This is awesome are there plans to make dungeon draft assets for the city asset packs? :D

Jono Yan

Thanks Dusty! The lodging assets is one of the few remaining asset packs that we have not yet converted that will likely cover the areas you're describing (https://www.patreon.com/posts/39831628)

Venatus Maps

Amazing stuff, been making some wilderness maps today. Adore your artstyle! Is there a plan for walls and tiles for making custom rooms/dungeons?

Dusty Rhodes

iirc I believe statue parts 1+2 are combined into the "statue" pack for no particular reason

Venatus Maps

There's a 'Statue' pack and 'Statues part 3' - am I blind for not finding part 2? :)

Tette Niinimäki

Noted! Hopefully that won't happen very often, but I'll make sure they're differentiated for return users

Venatus Maps

These are awesome! Please use a simple versioning/numbering convention when you start updating the packs you've already released — so we know whether or not to download a particular pack.

Malcolm Wolter

Exactly! Once the whole backlog has been converted I’ll be reformatting this post to act as the ‘mass download’ location for new users while current users will just be able to add new packs as they become available with each new asset pack’s release

Venatus Maps

Okay, so every update to this post means new packs have been added, and theres no need to redownload those that have been downloaded before? :) Got it!

Tette Niinimäki

If you’re referring to improving/updating old DD packs, that won’t start until the entire asset library has had at least a first pass at converting each pack, and then shifting workflow towards making sure that each new asset pack includes a DD version when it is released.

Venatus Maps

Is there a way to know which packs have been updated? Or do future updates only brings new packs?

Tette Niinimäki

There are no words for how much I love your constant ability to make your stuff more available to everyone. Your overview and listing on reddit long ago, your compilation posts and now this. I was just about to sit down and make my own pack with the 2000 or so assets I have of yours. Luckily I came back here to see what had been released in the past few months and found this post. You probably just saved me an entire days work and the end result is a higher quality pack. Not that I had any plans on ending my support here, but this just convinced me that I'll continue supporting you forever.

Joakim Dahlqvist

Glad you're enjoying it! As stated this is a work in progress and eventually you can expect all previous packs to be up and running in Dungeondraft but the process is a bit tedious. If you're desperate for the other packs immediately you can convert things as you need them using this guide: https://github.com/Megasploot/Dungeondraft/wiki/Custom-Assets-Guide

Venatus Maps

I loved to create my first complete map with this programm. Sadly I miss a lot of my assets I got from your packs. How can I add them to dungeondraft, or which type of data does it need to notice it?

Missy Terry

Yes, Furniture pack! Everything for me just shows up as red - it doesn't change color when I try to change it. Maybe I did something wrong?

Jenn Nsk

Hey Jenn! Thanks for the feedback, continual testing on a larger scale is super helpful at this stage. From my end I don't believe there are any assets from the Royalty pack that are intended to be colorable (though there certainly could and should be in the future). As for the Furniture Pack everything intended to be colorable (most of the beds and all of the wooden furniture) is coloring correctly on my end. You're not seeing the colors for those adjust when you select a different option in the color picker?

Venatus Maps

Hi! I love all of these, but on testing - the colorable items don't seem to be working. (specifically in the Royalty and Furniture packs, that I noticed.)

Jenn Nsk

Fantastic! Many thanks to the volunteers that put in the work on these.

Phergus

Yes! So excited to use these in dungendraft! Thanks for your hard work! Must be one hell of a project.

Gerdien Penninkhof

Oh heck yes, this is amazing

Jasper van Nieuwenhuijzen

amazing thank you
