The Arched Repository

Hello students!

While today's map may seem like an incredibly quick turnaround on last week's poll for Candlekeep Mysteries maps, this serendipitous release has actually been in the works since well before! This sprawling map of the Arched Repository depicts a library originally inspired by the contents of Tarslemoor University, but can just as easily be used as a visualization of one of the many halls of learning from within Candlekeep itself. 

The map of the Repository is accompanied by a somewhat greater number of variants and add-on's than I'm accustomed to, simply because the layout of this library was begging for it! So in addition to the 'default' depiction of it that you see in the header of this post, the map also arrives in a Daytime variant, an Alight variant with candlelight and lantern-light, an Unfurnished variant, a Hidden Sanctum variant with a secret staircase leading to a separate (included) ritual map below), as well as transparent PNG files of the bridges and staircase so that those can be printed or layered digitally in VTT and moved/revealed as necessity demands. 

More importantly however, the Arched Repository is released with its very own oneshot adventure written by the wonderful creatives at Torchlight Press, a frequent contributor of unique, challenging, and sometimes just hilarious modules for the 5E universe. I'd highly encourage you to check out their patreon page, but you can also grab a number of free oneshots and adventure bundles for free from their website. 

Today's adventure, A Gathering of Witches, utilizes the nighttime version of this map alongside its hidden staircase and ritual site below. It takes place alongside a number of other growing supplements Torchlight Press is releasing in the coming weeks for a Magical Monster School all based on the aforementioned map of Tarslemoor University.
