Update: Original post has been revised to include June's Ruins Maps Collection release. Thank you everyone for your patience and encouragement.
Welcome to the fourth installment in our collections series, a category of map that is a little different than my standard battle map releases. If you're unfamiliar, this "collection" is the equivalent of nine battle maps and perhaps better yet, they are all seamless with one another when combined like the graphic above. This means they can be assembled in rows, columns, or as a full image to make many varieties of much larger maps!
Ordinarily this enormous jump in scale from my normal releases means less hand drawn elements and more creative utilization of assets. While I've certainly done that here, I ended up painting into/over so much of it to "anchor" it all together and get the shadows and lighting correct (in combination with an ill-fated file error late in the game...) that it ended up taking me much longer than typical. That said, this collection release includes the following:
The goal here is of course in this instance to favor quantity and scale over uniqueness or individuality. These 'collection' sets have been pretty well received previously; if you like this ruins set and want more I'd encourage you to check out the previous Forest Collection, Urban Collection, and Winter Collection. If you're a fan of ruinous content and looking for more I'd suggest visiting our Map Archive and filtering by the "Ruins" theme.
Enjoy!
