Last month I began sprinkling previews of Orbea's district maps into the Patreon feed as a part of my partnership with the DMDave team in anticipation of their now complete Kickstarter campaign for Pexia's Guide to Omeria, a campaign setting within which Orbea is a prominent city.
Today we put the finishing touches on the map and that means I get to share this absolute beast of a city with you all! Done in a three-dimensional, illustrative style that I experimented with in my town map of Wooster, this map is 4x the size of my regular city maps and the level of resulting detail is evidence of that.
In addition to the enormous master-map of Orbea itself, I also took the liberty of subdividing it into 12 separate district maps isolating views of the various 'neighborhoods' of Orbea in order to be able to focus in on a specific area when the text or your players spend time there.
This map has been one of the most ambitious, coolest, and largest time investments I've ever put into a map and I hope you all like the results. You can absolutely expect to hear more on Orbea in the future. It's my sincere hope that even if you don't feel inclined to familiarize yourself with DMDave's setting (though I'd highly recommend it), that this map provides you with enough creative fodder to inspire stories of your own for you and your group.
