Hello all!
Pleased to share with you a fun roadside traveling map I've been working: the Golem's Waypoint. This major crossroads in your campaign's countryside is marked on most maps not just for the forking in one direction or another, but for the gargantuan stone golem that greets passerby! Apparently abandoned or 'deactivated' this golem bears some unfortunate breakage in a few key spots and is overgrown with foliage and even a large tree, but the faint glow of arcane energy can still be seen emanating from its eyes.
An inquisitive wizard has even gone about setting up camp at this intersection with the express purpose of studying the golem in an attempt to ascertain its history, purpose, and maker. While their efforts have not been quite as quickly fruitful as they had hoped, its clear the large stones with sigils carved into them have some connection to the golem. I'm sure the wizard would be happy to speak with a friendly enough adventuring party passing by!
As usual, you'll find this with a gridless variation, VTT setting, and a nighttime palette in the pack below. I've even gone ahead and isolated the golem as an asset PNG for you should you like to drop it in somewhere else.
Enjoy!
