Hello all!
For the last map of 2018 I am projecting my desire for snow onto mapmaking. The town of Orathal is a non-specific 'northern town' that I hope will be fun to fit into your campaign setting of choice. I had yet to do a town set in a primarily colder climate and getting to experiment with some additional techniques and brushwork was a nice challenge (I'm loving the farms personally).
If you would like some additional snowy visuals in your D&D life you can also check out the previously released Snowy Assets Pack (for which there may be more coming soon...).
In addition to the colder atmosphere I was also looking to try a different size of settlement; while this map will be considered a 'town map' I was trying to achieve a feel that was somewhere a little more in between 'town' and 'city'. Note that I opted to avoid cluttering it too much with labels and used the number markers to indicate notable locations. You can of course choose to label those however you wish, but I included a list of my own names for your use. You may also notice that while nearly every building features a chimney, I chose not to have spoke billowing forth in the interest of not obscuring ~50% of the map.
Enjoy, and have a happy New Year!
