Asset Pack Theme
Added 2018-04-26 21:20:24 +0000 UTCHello all!
Now that the River pack has been released, it's time to vote on the theme for our next public pack! Hopefully all of the themes are fairly self-explanatory, but please feel free to make suggestions if you have something else in mind!

A farm would be cool too, but I'may not sure if that's what you are looking for in a theme.

2018-04-27 21:35:25 +0000 UTCWhat would be some examples of semi-modern extras that I could include? I probably won't be going full-modern/future any time soon, though I imagine things like well-trimmed shrubbery and other indications of civilized society are in line with what you're suggesting?

2018-04-27 13:42:50 +0000 UTCI would really really love semi-modern urban assets. I use your maps for a Valkyria Chronicles game and a tanks game and some modern-ish looking assets would be the amazing final touch I need.

2018-04-27 08:52:19 +0000 UTCHonestly, just something simple like an assortment of random rooftops (thatch, wood, and tile) along with an assortment of different paths (mud, dirt, cobblestone) to make alleys and roads with. Similar to what you did with the Sleeping Giant Inn, and the Junkyard map. Rooftops like that would be awesome. Maybe even something modular to increase rooftop diversity. In terms of an in-game example: in CoS, my players tried to stage a violent coup in Vallaki during a festival in the town center. But I didn't have a battlemap of the streets of the town, which would have been awesome to have. Or if fighting broke out in the streets of Barovia. Something like that. Almost like what you did with Alleyway Ambush, except more dainty village/small town themed instead of tile roofs with sprawling, dense, urban alleyways.

2018-04-27 06:52:02 +0000 UTCI was a huge fan of your early city drawings of Pemphero on Reddit. So I'd be really excited to see what you can do to modularize urban environments.
2018-04-27 06:19:03 +0000 UTCOh, I hope tons vote on Underdark. My PCs are going to be there in about 3-4 sessions.
2018-04-27 04:11:37 +0000 UTCI'd love to see something where I could build a library
2018-04-27 03:09:45 +0000 UTCI'm glad Urban is so popular. Sadly my campaign is about to get off the City for probably a few weeks, but I would love to use your assets for their eventual return! Keep on being awesome Venatus!
2018-04-26 23:05:37 +0000 UTCI'd love to see some flora for a city, like flower beds or hedgerows.

2018-04-26 22:54:20 +0000 UTCWhat would you need asset-wise to create village maps as opposed to 'city maps'?
Venatus Maps
2018-04-26 21:40:46 +0000 UTCI'm not sure I understand the distinction? I'll be releasing a patron-only road pack soon so that may help, otherwise the rooftops will be of all sizes/colors/shapes, though they will likely all be the same tile roof, no thatch or clay.

2018-04-26 21:40:16 +0000 UTCI'm building a mega city and having good quality rooftops to jump between would be great.
