Public Asset Pack Theme Vote
Added 2019-08-15 12:15:59 +0000 UTCHello all! Since our Asset Pack for City Assets was churned out so quickly last month we already need to vote on the next one! As per usual, I've included options for major themes that we've yet to explore thus far in the Public Asset Packs, but this time around I've also included a voting option for those of you who would like to revisit a previous theme seeing as how it's been 2 years since I released the original Forest Assets pack. If that option ends up winning it will be followed up by a 2nd poll to choose which previous theme we focus on. As a reminder those previous themes have been: Forest, Tavern, Snow, Rivers, Urban, Caves, Ships, and Cities.
Thank you for voting!

Fair point on both fronts! I guess the DMs Guild post release note and the “complete” post still feel so recent to me! Have I been a Patron for so long??? Also understandable about non spooky castle assets. But I would suggest every castle should be Castle Ravenloft and every Lord our good good Dark Lord Strahd. But I think my biases are showing!

2019-08-15 16:49:29 +0000 UTCThanks for the fast reply! I was thinking of the various types of villages, in particular, that are reasonable in a typical fantasy milieu. Tiles (flat or half-cylinder), slates (stone or wood), thatch (straw or palm-green), adobe (mud, white or brown, e.g. desert/Mesopotamian), and pyramidal stone (Aztec style) all come to mind

2019-08-15 16:43:36 +0000 UTCI will say that I have the beginnings to a Part 2 to City Assets in the works already simply because I felt like it needed it, so that's coming down the pipeline at some point regardless. Don't think it's going to contain different roofing materials yet, but I can try and play with the scale of the Thatch Roof assets and see if I can make something usable in the interim.

2019-08-15 16:13:11 +0000 UTCWhile I don't know if a year ago counts as *just* completed, I agree that Ravenloft should help constitute the bones of some of this if we move forward with the castle. If I had to guess, I would say those voting for the castle are interested in having pieces that are setting agnostic (i.e. not spooky) and aren't prefilled with gore, skeletons, destroyed furniture, etc.

2019-08-15 16:10:32 +0000 UTCI voted 'Sewers' because, as John said, those are uncommon, but a continuation of the City Assets would be more appreciated, with more variation for types of cities/towns/villages made of different materials and roof-types

2019-08-15 14:27:42 +0000 UTCI like pretty much all of these; the more props I can put into my maps, the better! :)

2019-08-15 13:57:28 +0000 UTCAll the love for castle but you *just* got done with the best castle ever: Castle Ravenloft! Why does everyone need any other one?!

2019-08-15 13:23:12 +0000 UTCSewers isn't terribly common, so that definitely gets my vote!
