Tavern Assets Sketch

Development of assets for the Tavern Pack are underway!

Lots of plans for plenty of premade room sizes (more than what's pictured here), stairs, doors, tables, chairs, etc. and here's your preview.

What am I missing!? Let me know if you have any suggestions! I'll continue to put out updates on this pack throughout September, and will try to have the finished version out by the end of the month.

I would like to see passed-out people. Seriously. Not just for this but a few dead bodies that could be placed here and there in other maps would be super helpful for story-telling purposes.

If the walls' textures are going to be hand-drawn, I'd love to see modular corners, Ts, and crosses... maybe for both stone and wooden walls? Also, maybe a bay windows and porch pieces? :D I'm really excited about this pack!

Awesome! Yeah it's a bit hard to convey in text/words, but if you need any help I'm willing to lend a hand! I actually was unable to ever match up the grid of the Drowned Archives with the grid on Roll20, and I think it may have had to do with the image diensions not matching up to the grid used.

Planning on a stage for sure--I'll try and see what I can do about a Fighting Ring for now, though that's certainly a good idea.

I think I understand what you're saying correctly--I may reach out to when these are closer to being finished with some 'test assets' for you to play with to make sure they're configured according to what you're describing.

I would love to see a "Brawling/Fighting Ring" for the tavern. Also a "stage" for bards and musicians.

Square size isn't as important as the snapping to squares. Aka it's a lot more complicated to work with walls or doors that aren't exactly a # of squares by a # of squares. The size of the square isn't as important as all the assets still having enough white space around them to fill in the 'half a square' to the sides so that it snaps to the squares properly without the art being squished/distorted!

I love it, man. The asset stuff is great for customizing a layout in something like GIMP.

I think that's specifically a Roll20 issue. Fantasy Grounds lets you control square size and location. Although that is an excellent point you make!

I have one suggestion to keep in mind to make these easy to use on vtt. Make sure the size of each individual asset is exactly a number of squares by a number of squares (ex 1 by 2) and not say 1 by 1.5 sq. Vtts snap images to the grid so if they aren't, it makes it harder to use tileset assets and maps in general. Roll20 recommends 140px grid size.
