Both my grandparents were the same way. My dads dad died at 40 from smoking and drinking I never got to meet him. My other grandpa died a few years ago at 64 from diabetes and all that other fucked up shit. Some people really just can’t get out of those habits. It’s the worse from the outside looking in.
