Is This What I 🌱Think🌱 It Is?

Yes indeed, it is another Mysterious Cellar video. I am now a lot less worried about damp though, because I, at least, am not planning to turn my cellar into an underground growing space for Plants of Questionable Legality.

Hope you're all well. I have been away at a wedding, and while driving through the wilds of Kent we happened to pass through the real village of Hawkhurst. So of course, I stopped to get pictures. Which are on my YouTube community page, but I will also share them here in a separate post :) Happy Tuesday to you! YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mAfFiemzB4

Definitely Suspicious. Glad you're enjoying the dungeoneering in your own cellar!

Dave Sheddi

Once upon a time, a man was fooled into entering that cellar for some fine wine.

The basement is dark, you'd probably spend more on electricity for the grow lamps than the tomatoes are worth.

Ekij

You could grow tomatoes down there. Tomatoes are nice and legal.

Oh the joys of home ownership! You need to have an electrician look at that outlet, no one wants an accidental house fire

Sara Moseley

Definitely have an electrician check that line. Questionable cellars may have questionable electricity supply. Oh the joys of having a house and finding (and fixing) what a previous owner left!

chromicacid

Definitely dungeon, sounds like a good place to stage the sequel

0:03 Do you have a section of black stone about 3' down from the ceiling of the basement where the other stone/brick is more of a sandstone light grey. Why this band of ominous black? I had a friend who had a basement and the rooms were joined my hobbit high tunnels rather than proper doors. Full sized doors are better but they don't look Dalek wide :(

Ekij

Makeshift cheese/wine cellar? Though as you surmised, it likely was what you suggested. Given that, it's probably better to have an electrician check if that outlet is connected to /your/ meter and not, say, hacked onto the mains connection (or that of your neighbour).
