I get what you’re saying about plating and the distinction between street food and “meals” but Al Fresco dining is an integral part of city life. Whether it’s a roach coach, street meat, hot dog cart or heaven forbid, roasted chestnuts (which I hate) ..it’s New York City.. just as getting Shrimp or Clams from those small outdoor carts on Fisherman’s Wharf is part of San Francisco’s appeal - even when the gulls brazenly steal your food 😂😂
