NYC Blog #28 - Year's worth of maple syrup

Every year during this time, I make it a point to buy my year supply of maple syrup at a stall in Bryant Park. This is the only time of year I can get these syrups since the vendor doesn’t have a shop in the city.

The “bourbon barrel aged” syrup has a scotch taste to it and does well on French toast and pancakes.

The “smoked and spicy” sounds weird but is surprisingly delicious. It really does have a bit of a kick to it. This goes well with chicken and waffles or with sausage and eggs.

And the “rich amber” is just high quality maple syrup. In hindsight, I didn’t need to get some. It compares to other high quality maple syrup I can get at other shops in New York. I guess I just wanted to support the business.
