Creator Blog #18 - Time to slow it down
Added 2022-11-03 14:00:06 +0000 UTCI had a pretty good streak publishing every week. I was consistent all throughout summer. But I've come to realize it's simply not sustainable. I do it all myself... the research, writing, graphics, and editing. The entire week gets dedicated to creating a video and that's it. There are other things I want to have time for such as:
- Focus on community building by composing a proper social media plan that goes beyond YouTube
- Experience with the "rinse and repeat" process to find a faster and easier way to produce content
- Double down on research and writing to produce higher quality content
- Upskill on animation, sound design, and other skills that could elevate production quality.
These things need time — time for work and time to recover from work. Slowing down the publication schedule will be the trade off in the short term but I think will pay off in the long term.
For the next few months, videos will now be published every other week rather than weekly. And the schedule will be reassessed again in the spring.

I appreciate that you put a mission/direction statement on the channel. It allows you to focus.
