While we're still a ways off from this being an actual release (Mid 2023) I've been working on this in the BG for a bit now, tweaking, refining and just kinda puttering with the forms for the base VoidFrame. I even painted some test prints xD
I really wanted to just make a post for this cause I know you're not all in the discord.
I'll continue puttering with this in the background~
I also wanted to post up some of the initial sketched that I've been going back and forth on with the Concept artist(Kabewski) I've been working with so far. It makes working on the models a lot easier when I have a cohesive image to work from instead of just the ideas in my head xD
That's pretty much it, I just wanted to show a bit of what I'm working with, and to give folks a better idea of the aesthetic I'm leaning into with this expansion, renders and images are way better then my words I think xD

I am loving these designs!! Any chance you can do alternative head with the blank face mask or simple X design seen in the Banshee/Scorpion looking ones? These scream Space Elves to me and would LOVE to make a ful army with all the various...uhh...aspects of the Space elves ;)

Would be so intrigued to see your take on aspects and vehicles with this serving as like a base infantry start to the line. (Just thinking what you could do with all those various Grav vehicles just has me salivating)

2023-02-02 13:39:40 +0000 UTCSometimes you have to re-run through the patreon's steps for linking. In some cases it's disconnecting the discord account from patreon, then re-linking it. They're integration isn't the best to be fair, but it's the only way to keep track of roles and the like.

2023-01-28 14:57:01 +0000 UTCOh no, definitely~ I want to keep the design relatively simple on the base unit, and branch out into the weirder negative spaces of some of the concepts further on down the line~ I think once I finally start getting more used to the aesthetic, and with some proper dynamic posing, even as a base unit they'll look pretty solid~ There's just so many ways to tweak and edit things it's a bit overwhelming actually x'D ~Pipes

2023-01-28 14:37:42 +0000 UTCThese are looking good so far. My job (Art Manager) is being brutally honest, so I’ll say that they’re “still getting there”, of course. With the previous robots you took a shockingly boring and pedestrian design (B-grade Anime Space Commies) and turned it up to 11! Or maybe even 12 if that’s a thing! With these, you’ve taken the much more interesting aesthetic of the “Space Elves” and turned it up to about 8 or 9 so far. 😁😘 The old “Space Elf” designs used to have these wonderfully spooky blank faces, before they started over-complicating the design, so I really like the void-hole-for-a-face thing going on in the first sketch. The helmet tassels on the various sketches are also nice. I LOVE the open design legs on sketch #3, and the skirt plates on sketch #7 are cool. The foot design on both of those sketches is great, too. The delicate foot with no ankle joint is very alien and graceful. Right now, I see why someone asked if they were living things in armor. Keep pushing those odd, graceful, open designs and it’ll become obvious that these are ghost inhabited constructs. 👍 I’m an old-school Grimdark Space Elf fan, so I apologize for all the unsolicited feedback. Keep up the great work!!
