This video has me absolutely devastated! Why? Just why? Jail ? Really ? There really were other options what about a social worker or something like that? Sad I hope she’s resting in paradise 🩷

2025-12-14 02:46:38 +0000 UTCthey said its heartbreaking to watch and that they feel awful. humor is how some people deal with traumatic events; this was awful for all involved. i personally wished the family would have gotten her help before this - but i also understand a husband wanting to keep his wife around and a son respecting his wishes.

2025-12-03 22:57:08 +0000 UTCAs a paramedic I’m absolutely appalled at this. Dear God taking a lady into custody and she doesn’t even know what happened. I’m absolutely devastated watching this.

2025-12-03 11:54:44 +0000 UTCThey had stated it was going to take some time to get her set up at a care facility. They did what was right and hopefully treated her well at the jail for those 10 days. This was heartbreaking.

2025-12-01 17:06:48 +0000 UTCJail is not a hospital ward, and she shouldn't have been there 10 days. Hopefully, when it gets before a judge, he'll blast them for putting her in jail. It looks like they're in that horrible spot that a lot of middle class elderly are in. They have enough to live reasonably decently with insurance and everything, but insurance doesn't cover residential senior care. They probably can't afford it or otherwise they would have opted for that long ago. They seem like nice people who are reasonable. Dementia is horrible. My mom had it.

2025-12-01 03:29:23 +0000 UTCThere has to be some better way to help the mentally ill, something other than being thrown in jail. The same happened to me when I was using drugs, but this is an elderly woman with dementia, jail should’ve never been considered an option.

2025-12-01 01:17:15 +0000 UTCThey’re laughing at her and acting like she’s faking her illness or something. I can’t believe the AUDACITY of these cops, “oh yep, there we go. Oh, see? Now she thinks the man who hit her is gone. Now she recognizes George again, ha, great.” Like, excuse me?? I have never been so angry in my life watching these cops laugh in front of Diane like she’s not even there.

2025-11-30 23:43:32 +0000 UTCThe cop knows Diane has dementia and yet, he’s arguing with her and saying the things she’s saying aren’t true but he’s failing to realize that to her, it is true. There’s an intruder in her home trying to kill her. And here’s the cop brushing off everything she says, saying “I’m not sure that’s true.” SMH.

2025-11-30 21:47:22 +0000 UTCGeorge is a trooper. Getting wopped by a hammer in the head and then denying medical assistance and tee-heeing about it after is unheard of. The whole situations is truly so sad though, poor Diane </3 :(
