The logical view point is that he faked it. It’s only explanation for me and I’m wondering why he would put his family through that? Maybe they were in on it?

Watched again. If he didn’t fake it, I could see a paranormal explanation being possible. I find it hard to believe no one knew him by another name unless he was out of the country.

Kind of fucked up to lie about this all his life only to try and cash in on it later.

Nick I agree with your assessment. Even the description of the book contradicts evidence when it says he skied out onto the ice. We know his poles and back back were stacked neatly. Great job.

Interesting point, if true, I would have hoped that Steven would have just come out and said so.

So he was missing for over a year. During that time, other people must have known him by another name. If his return was making national headlines, surely these people would come forward and offer some answers as to where Steven had been. Since no one came forward, I lean towards him being out of the country which leads me to believe he faked the whole thing. Amnesia is easy to fake.

The driver Curtis and what Kubacki told him: If I was hitchhiking and woke up with amnesia, I wouldn't tell the person I was hitchiking with and make up a fake name and location just to seem normal to protech myself.
