N-IRIS is a high resolution real-time Convolution based Spectrum Disperser capable of generating 1-300ms IRs to use in IRIS or play/record for use in other Convolvers.
Convolution based Dispersion is a less common but incredibly powerful in achieving high resolution real-time spectral delays.
N-IRIS uses a built-in IR generator that is customized to generate the IRs necessary for this kind of real-time spectral dispersion. You have a range of 1-300ms and the IR can be inversed.
N-IRIS comes with an highly cpu efficient convolver while also providing a way to export the generated IR by playing the IR so you can record it and use it in any Convolver.
SIMPLE, BUT POWERFUL
The DISPERSE dial sets the length of the spectrum dispersion IR, which needs to first be generated. This will mute N-IRIS for a short period before it applies the effect.
N-IRIS can generate both forward and backward spectrum delays, indicated by the "-" ms dispersion.

download plugdata from here : https://plugdata.org/download.html , download the zip and extract the folder somewhere! then open plugdata-fx in your daw and open the patch from inside the folder! :) make sure to disable the safety limiter as well as mentioned on this page!

I also really like the aggressive snappy laser zap sounds on their own as percussion sounds, I know I can just record them but I would love to have a playable midi instrument version of this that just does these percussive zaps really well, maybe that's a fun idea for a future plugin?
