Analyze Book mod ft. Bookworm Sims π
Added 2024-11-14 21:25:27 +0000 UTCThis is a mod for the bookworm trait. Sims with the bookworm trait can analyze a book. The interaction came with a buff and I felt the buff was like a fun fact type buff about bookworms not the feeling of reading said book. Thanks to the amazing help of my talented friend Bookwormsims, we came up with 32 buffs for analyzing a book. There are 16 buffs for every in-game emotion for teens to elder sims. Child sims have 16 buffs, but it's for 8 moods that come with two different moodlets (ex: two focused buffs).
In the pictures, the first six pictures are the buffs teens to elders will receive after analyzing a book and the next six pictures are the buffs child sims will get after analyzing a book.
I'm not sure if there are any conflicts at this time, but if you see anything please comment below and I'll update this post.

2024-11-20 19:55:04 +0000 UTCI hear what youβre saying, but even movie hangout stuff pack has general moodlets like βboring movieβ and doesnβt say the movieβs name. Even though movie hangout stuff pack does have the name of the movies in the codes. I am not fully aware of the bookβs codes because itβs not the name verbatim (like MH stuff pack in the codes) or even book genre (like the movies from growing together are genre names in the codes). In the future, I want to find out more info on books to give them more life for bookworms. For now, itβs general for storytelling purposes. I need to give Palia a chance though π€©π

2024-11-15 20:48:10 +0000 UTCI like the idea, it's just weird to not know which book gives wich emotional buff. I don't want my Sim to read a book, which makes her feel uncomfortable. More focused buffs with different descriptions are also great. The whole book reading system in Sims 4 feels really weird to me. Maybe because they aren't real books, that we (the player) read. Look at Palia for example, it's a free game on Steam and Switch and you can actually read books (no skill unfortunately) but the player can read the books. Some games have that feature. It's cool to have some picture and text we could also read (it doesn't need to be the whole book), and let the sim then read the whole book. It would be great if the Sims team did it like this, a pop up with pictures and text, in the same time your sims read it and we do also. But not the entire book, just a short story of the book.
