Here comes another Unreal Engine 4 game in need of fixing! Thankfully, it was not in the usual way, as the game is built around a 21:9 aspect ratio, letterboxing to that at 16:9 and pillarboxing at 32:9. On WSGF, we'd call that 'Anamorphic' but following the raised concerns about the unrelated connotations of the term, we're likely going to change it to 'Static AR' in the nearest future.

Regardless of the term, the game still needed to be fixed for 32:9 and wider, which was mitigated by the users with the help of the UE4 console unlocker. However, as in most cases, the limitations of the FOV command mean that it's just one static value across many scenes which change the FOV dynamically depending on the framing and thus need to be adjusted dynamically as well. Given my prior research into the engine, the solution was pretty straightforward with no game code quirks in sight.

I messaged two users - one of them a patron! - to request an exe of the Steam version, so I will try to make the fix compatible with it as soon as I have it. For now, it is most likely for Microsoft Store only.

As a bonus, I'm including a version of the solution which will remove the black bars from 16:9 without touching the FOV. There's not much value in releasing it to the public, as the unlocker can achieve the same thing, but if this is something you care for, perhaps it would help to not have to run the unlocker for the task every time.

Edit: Now aiming to support Steam and all the other platforms. It's a separate archive until I decide to dedicate more time to the coding!
