Well, we made it. The end of book 1 in Jeremy and Gralgiran’s story.

Right off the bat, I'd like to know if you read my comments on the chapters. if so, do you feel they add anything? or am I wasted your time with them?

This was interesting in that it’s the first time I’ve written a book based on an outline, without actually ‘respecting’ the outline. I ended up treating it more as if it was the story’s treatment than the outline. The points becoming places it needed to reach, but not dictating how to I’d reach them.

It means the book when from forty or so chapter in the outline to 111, and I certainly feel it’s better for it. The characters get time to breathe.

I don’t have much else to say, as I write thing having just finished editing chapter 111. If I think of more, I’ll add that.

and I remembered a detail. you'll have noticed there never was a bonus sex story. if you go back to the introduction, you'll find I removed mention of writing them.

I did write one. I even had someone read it and conform it was okay. the problem is that I discovered in the process of writing it that I no longer enjoy writing porn. it isn't just the 'it's all the same in the end' argument I've often used as an explanation. writing that bonus chapter was outright not enjoyable. I had to force myself to put down each word, and they all felt horrible. When I reread it, after being told it was okay, I discovered that yes, it wasn't that bad. but that did not help make the experience of writing it feel any better.

I think that if I thought there was one chance those bonus chapters would result in an increase in my income I might have managed to pushed through the negativity I feel toward writing it, but lets be honest here. And I mean objectively honest. I'm never going to gain anymore readers than what I have, because I've already found my niche and you guys are it.

So, I'll continue writing this series with just as much implication the sex happens, but you shouldn't expect any bonus chapter depicting that, or other pairing.

So, what’s next? Well, book 2 is next, unless I get people clamoring for me to write the second draft of book 1. I might make the collection available for people to buy, but asking money for something isn’t ‘perfect’ feels uncomfortable.

There will be a small delay between the end of book 1 and when book 2 starts posting, to account for going over the outline and adjusting it, as well as making sure I’ll have enough of a backlog to ensure I don’t have to skip days once I start posting the chapters.

Book 2 will be called A Technician's Fight, and the series now has a name "A Heart's Life"

Thank you, everyone, for sticking with me through this. For reading and commenting on the story. And I hope I can do as good a job with book 2 as I feel I’ve done with book 1.

Another wonderful journey came to a temporary end. Thanks for your writing! About the comments,i think they are 50/50 for me.It's interesting to read them and some of them actually are very enlightening.Give me some new angles to understand the plot. But i do skip them for coherence of reading several times. I agree with your decision about bonus sex stories. If they are only for horniness and not necessary for storyline, then drop them off. Looking forward to seeing more of your works in the future.Good luck!
