YES! We are very proud of how this has turned out! We worked closely with the very talented Anirudh Shekhawat (who also did all the concept artwork for "Raji: An Ancient Epic") to bring to life our vision of the artwork and feel he did an absolutely stellar job. "Rakhshak", the name of the album, is Hindi for guardian/protector/defender. We hope you like it as much as we do and would love to know your interpretation of the artwork! :)
The past couple of months have been pretty scary because of the COVID wave in India and as most of you already know, many of us (Jayant, Roshan, Sahil and I) and our parents/family members did catch it even though we were in complete lockdown. However, we have fully recovered and thankfully needed no hospitalisation. It was exceptionally freaky for me as my sister was pregnant and I had to take her to the hospital almost everyday for her IVs while dealing with my infection too. She's blessed with a baby boy and both of them remain COVID free. Also, I'm an uncle now! lol! *insert old man emoji*
We resume recording day after, aim to finish things off within the next month (June) and release the first single in August. We are yet to decide the release date of the album but we'll update you guys as soon as its finalised.
Home stretch, guys! I wish I could give you all the biggest hug ever for supporting us throughout and sticking around even when we weren't able to communicate. We stay independent because of you so what you hear in this album is straight from our hearts.
Megatons of love,
Karan
P.S. - The artwork and album name isn't public yet and wont be for a few months, so hush hush ;)
