Tier Proposal

Hello,

All day I been trying to relax by not drawing before my move back to school to start the Fall Semenster, and in doing so I’ve been trying to figure out ways to make my patron slots more fair. Currently, how it works is that I open a limited set of tiers each month that can be claimed. But I been worried of how unfair the First-Come-First-Serve system might have been, with newer members who would lose their chances by some older members. Also working on so many drawings when I have commissions and school at the same thing would leave me stressed about finishing them all before the month is over.

So I’ve been trying to plan a new structure with help in the server. I claim to the conclusion that instead of claims, it could be polls instead.

How it would work:

• For tiers higher than Macaron (2.50 USD), Patrons will have access to new monthly polls.
• Patrons in the higher tiers can suggest a request for any character (Fanart, My OC, Your OC). I’ll then pick the three I like the most and set a poll. There will be three of polls: Flatcolor Fullbody (Eclair) Colored Fullbody (Strawberry Cake) and Flat Sequence (Chocolate Cake) for different tiers. You can submit at most two requests. The winning request at the end of the deadline will be drawn!
• Another benefit I want to add is Patron Priority. What will happen is that have access to the TF Item Sales a day early than the public. This means even if you’re in the Macaron tier, you’ll have a better chance of getting a commission for the theme you would want. I also plan to have Patron Exclusive commission slots. These are separate from my main commission queue, and you’ll get discounts based on your tier. This is be kept track of through a form.

The issues

• My main worry has been about what to do with the tiers above 10. I’m not often commissioned from anyone within that tier, as I fear that a 30% discount for a 50 tier is not worth it. Either I need to drastically change them to be worth pledging to, or remove them entirely and add a 90 tier where you’ll be guaranteed a fullcolor sequence. But like I said this is very drastic and I don’t want to make huge sudden changes that’ll negatively affect my financial stability.
• What to do about the sketches. As much as I want to prioritize the bigger pictures, I don’t want to upset the patrons that join the tiers for sketches. I might have to move them to be solely on the Eclair tier where I’ll take perhaps three of them a month.

Why?

Because taking in so many requests per month has tired me down, and I want to be able to work on bigger projects like comics expanding the Temptations of Twilight lore, or my OC’s universe in general.

I would like to hear your honest option about this proposal, or any suggestions that could help. The changes won’t happen until I’m already adjusted into the new school year, so there’s enough time to fix things up before I get to reworking. Thank you for reading.
