Number Nine: Sega Game Gear (October 1990) | Mimi Tanaka

Here comes the Game Gear girl Mimi Tanaka! Sega's cool handheld was design to beat the Game Boy and had a color screen! It was expensive and dry battery too quickly which is big problem for its selling but it is still popular in western countries. There were many different version of Game Gear made including some special edition like the Coca-Cola and the Kid's Gear. The inside of Game Gear hardware is basically same as Sega Mark III/Master System.

Information: This month is all about the Sega Hard Girls! Characters who representing Sega's home hardware history since the beginning. Each girl is a human representation of a certain piece of Sega's history and even includes some accessories like the Dreamcast VMU.

The Sega Hard Girls started in Dengeki Bunko Magazine as a collaboration with Sega. And they were very popular. Now they even have animated shows and figures about them that you can buy!

We will look at each one in the chronologicals order from the beginning to the end. These info cards were originally low quality and I have upscaled them to be more clear!
